It’s always going to be a struggle against the venue regulars when you first start. But each visit gets you more and more in tune with the tactics needed to compete. Being old school, I’m still confident in groundbaiting with a catty at the start for bream. It’s a method which doesn’t find much favour these day’s but it still works for me, lol. Nice video, Jamie. Looking forward to your next visit.

Nice to see you at one of my local venues. I've not fished Poolsbrook in ages, it really went down hill a couple of years back, especially with the Cormorants. But it looks like it could be fishing better. It's such a shame most of our towns natural venues have suffered over the past few years.
@CatchFishingChannel Жыл бұрын
Yes it's a shame mate

Never mind Jamie why not ask some of the guys who fish the venue regularly fish it for information, another great video by the way, you live and learn better luck next time mate 👍 tight lines Don.

Thanks Don, I just stuck to the waggler to do something different for the video mate :)

Very much looking forwards to watching round two at Poolsbrook! its going to be great to see how your going to fish it next time, will it be pole? Method or feeder? did you manage to glean any more info from the other anglers? As Alex Bates would say "you've been well and truly Chip shopped, Battered on both sides" 🙂. We all know what a great angler you are so its going to be such a good watch. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, we learn so much and they are very entertaining Jamie. cheers.

Im wondering if a pallet waggler might of gotten you a better result? like you said a learning curve. maybe pallets could have gotten the bream going? thanks for sharing the video Jamie always great to watch you on new venues
@CatchFishingChannel Жыл бұрын
I never thought about pellets mate maybe something for next time ;)

Were the breams biting from above the bottom on the waggler? Why did you use a corrugated support under the feeder when there was no wind?
@CatchFishingChannel Жыл бұрын
Yes I think so Maro! I just like that style of feeder mate :)
@stevenmoses5807 Жыл бұрын
First and last match i entered i was 14 on the Trent and Mersey canal in Stoke against 25 men and i beat them with just a 3m whip and pint of red maggots flavoured in hot chili powder the day before.. 22.5lb of tench, roach and perch...
@carassiuscarassius140 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t have the patience for that - I’d be free lining worms in the edge for perch before long 🤣
@marokow4101 Жыл бұрын
Was the waggler line above or below the bottom?
