I auditioned for Disney Cruiseline in Toronto in August and I had a cut from Journey to the Past... the girl who sang right before me (who ended up getting a callback!!) not only did the same song, but the EXACT SAME CUT. It's so hard to find Disney Princess-ish songs that aren't done over and over! I feel your pain

@@JessMedley They asked me to sing a second song from my rep book as well, so at least they kind of liked me enough that they wanted to hear a little bit more. So I’ll take that as a personal win 😆☺️ But that was as far as I got. Callbacks were that afternoon and they were telling people in the room or as they were putting their coats on after if they got callbacks that instant. They clearly hear songs like that a lot, but that doesn’t mean they’re game over. The girl before me’s interpretation of “Journey” got her a callback. I guess it’s how you add your flair to it! I’m determined that “Journey to the Past” will help me get a gig someday. Stick to your guns!! (But diversifying your book doesn’t hurt either! Some old and new favs)

QUAKING is also a good word! I remember auditioning for the Dapper Dans a few years back and Tony De Rosa himself stared me down for all sixteen bars! ;)

@@JessMedley Ha! It's a good ol' strong word. Also, a tip for reducing nerves if y'need one - take a deep breath and as you're exhaling, just continue exhaling until you can't hold it any longer; great for focus and it used to help me with stage fright. Hope it helps!
