@@priestesslucy3299 oh, it certainly isn’t the best from a competitive standpoint, but for an RSE playthrough? Pretty good for that, especially since Pokémon like Snorlax aren’t available. Even 8 year old me was able to use it well enough to beat Ruby, the first Pokémon game that I ever actually beat.

@@seraph4208 and, as Nux saw, a huge amount of coverage moves. That’s the best part with a lot of normal types in-game like Snorlax, Exploud, etc., especially in early gens where move pools are limited and there’s no physical/special split.

So, Nux uploaded an entire nuzlocke as 1 video. He did this despite knowing it could easily be 2 vids and would be better for the algorithm that way. Moreover, the video is EXACTLY 1 hour long. I think Nux is running an experiment here.

Unless you mean a roguelike Pokemon game where it's trainer v trainer, in which case I'm afraid the closest we have to that is one of the Battle Frontier facilities in Pokemon Emerald. @@Marcusjnmc the difference between Fire Emblem and a Nuzlocke is Fire Emblem gets you attached to a premise character, Nuzlocke is about attaching to the “creature” you encounter on your journey. There is no backstory or dialogue, you are learning to bond with a new entity rather than an established one and developing a relationship through your encounters together. It may seem like a superficial difference but I feel that the distinction is what makes Nuzlockes special.

I'll half-defend that: depending on what you have available, overlevelling a bit for Winona is okay. Her Altaria and Skarmory are rough unless you've got moves for their weaknesses, and you'd have to go out of your way to get something to deal with Altaria. ... That said, 45 is overkill. Won't contest that. And I'll wholeheartedly agree his team for the Elite Four was overkill. I didn't even need to grind that much for a Stage 1 Poke's Only run...
