Great video! These crack and resub result videos are some of the juiciest videos for card gossip. I agree with your take on PSAs weird policy about 90s chromium “peel” cards. I get that they’re counting the peel as a part of the card itself, but that’s kind of problematic in itself. A peeled card isn’t “missing” part of the card, and they still grade those no problem. I ALWAYS peel before submitting my 90s refractors to avoid these kind of shenanigans with corners peeling up, bubbles developing under the peel, and not to mention, a fresh peeled card ensures a virtually perfect surface (no scratches anyway). Yes, print lines, refractor lines are still a thing, but it’s the scratches where PSA really hammers the grade.

PeeSA and SGC 8s are my go to when I'm looking for key cards NOT in my pc...a slabbed 8 is in better condition than most my cards i saved since childhood... even 9s if they're cheap enough... I've found 7s and 8s are so subjective to bad grades that people dint want to resub them and just be done with them... I'm picking up hall of fame rookie cards under 20 bucks all day... nice submission btw

I view a peeled corner on the coating same as a creased corner for regular card (which would be 5 or 6 automatically); if you're submitting it to be graded with the peel designation, it's part of the card and condition of peel needs to be taken into account IMO; why i always preach to peel those ugly protectors that obscure the beauty of the underlying card designs, I understand completionists want both but eye appeal for 90s inserts need to shine unobstructed IMO

It's not part if the card really. It's designed to be removed and thus is supposed to be loose. You can't compare it to regular card layers which are not removable. I have had cards with worse corners also 8 so there's that

@@cardsandcomics I agree it's not part of the card, it's meant to be removed, but if graders create parallel designation for things like that, shouldn't that state of the card be how it's evaluated? You could look at 1954 Topps Scoops, 1964 Topps Stand Ups or Rip Cards as similar category. Really any card with some kind of movable/adjustable component from manufacturing to "in-hand" state as comparable to figure out how to treat? if something can be removed or has perforated edge etc, what is the original state that would set the rubric? Interesting topic to discuss

@@AtomicZombieAndroid Thats the big question, are they grading the card under the protector or the protector itself. How can they really grade what they can't see. I assume of its under the protector the surface is fine.

You won’t get any criticism from me. PSA simply grades better cards tougher. For whatever reason, SGC won’t give you the most value in their slab, but miles more accurate and consistent. What was the wait time from sending to receiving this order?

This is not a true crossover because SGC is PSA. Can't trust them no more. I personally used to use SGC exclusively but since they got bought by PSA I have now gone to TAG grading....I must say its REALLY nice. The whole system that they do is next level
