Genuinely love how your sketchbook started off with a rainwing. Nerd :3 (compliment)

oh yeah you better believe my creative ass was obsessed with the dragon type that could change colours at will

@@CertifiedMoth heh, obviously! If you can hold a pencil crayon, you're automatically the ✨creative✨ dragon/cat/whatever

I understand why people don't like it when pencil smudges, but I don't mind it. It gives it character. But I also stick random things like candy wrappers in it lol

i dont mind a BIT of smudging, but my second (i think?) sketchbook has some pages where it smudged so much that the page isnt even comprehensible anymore.

This reminds me of when I re-discovered my old Deviantart account. It was both nostalgic and cringe...but at the same time I also miss how unapologetic I was when drawing. Like, I just drew...good, bad...didn't matter. Now I struggle, I start ideas but never finish them because in my mind I'm not happy with them. Lately I've been pushing myself to draw more, it takes me longer but I'm slowly starting to feel better about what I make. I'm starting to see my old self in the drawings and it gives me the warm fuzzies

Right??? like i can hate all i want about how my old art was bad or cringe but i cant hate about how i was so in love with drawing. I'm always trying to improve my sketchbooking practice to bring back that joy i used to feel

even though i rarely watch art youtube in english, i'm absolutely adored by your narration, so this is so nice to listen while drawing for a short film💀

I was 13 earlier this year and I can approve that this is appropriate humor for an average 13 year old. 👍👍 I remember my first sketch book, I had it in 5th grade and it was just a notebook with “math” written on it. I guess I didn’t use it for math. But some of the OCs I still use were crated in it. 🧇🥞

i was so torn between respecting 13 year old me's humour or tearing it apart lol. i think all old senses of humour seems so much worse in hindsight. i always love when people have longstanding ocs that theyve had since they were younger, nothing better than a character slowly progreasing along with an artist

Lol, cringe (im kidding, ngl i still think these look pretty good). You should pick some of your favorites and do a redraw (only if you want to of course)
@CertifiedMoth Жыл бұрын
thank you! yeah i mean most of these drawings really arent that bad, it just really feels like it when looking at them in the moment. i think its just because ive changed so much as an artist and a person that its so crazy to look back at these old drawings. i already want to redesign that omega character, but yeah, thats a great idea to redraw some of these!
