Hi Juan! What a fun trip to your LYS…I don’t know how you managed to pick!! Sooooo many beautiful yarns. About your DellaQ bag…when I’m not knitting or crocheting I sew bags and purses. The fabric your bag is made of is called “waxed canvas”. It’s a waterproof fabric that is super easy care. The marks you are seeing are actually marks in the wax coating….you could actually write your name or make a doodle should the urge arise! 😂. Although the marks create the rustic and worn patina that is part of the character of waxed cotton, if this is not your style and you prefer a more pristine look, you can remove the marks and restore the fabric by using a heat blower or hair dryer…it takes a few minutes of concentrated heat, but the marks will completely disappear! This is such a great bag! I hope you get to enjoy it for many many years!!

That is an awesome yarn store with really great brands of yarn. Anzula cricket and Anzula Nebula, and Berroco are some of my favorites. Also at yarn store, they always have at least one employee who can help you if you get stuck reading your knitting. Plus Ella Rae and Juniper Moon Yarns are lovely.

Juan, I can’t wait to see if you knit or crochet your yarn finds. An LYS causes so much drooling over yarn…there are many beautiful yarns you will never see unless you actually visit a bonafide shop. Big box stores have great yarns, but this is where you see and can feel the luxury yarns. Enjoyed the visit!

Yes you are a kid in a candy store. I love Remix both in worsted and fingering/sport. Lovely to knit and crochet. I also have worked with Sesame and it is a nice summer yarn. I have more in my stash. I think I know where it is. Don’t forget to try some local Indy dyers. I have and it can be really amazing. So much fun. I don’t dare right now. I am doing a toddler blanket with Major and it is great too. I am so jealous!🎉❤❤❤❤❤

We know how much you love purple. Mix variegated yarn in shades of purple and mix with lavender or lilac. You can use hot pink with orange or fuchsia with purples. I worked with Noro yarn to knit a cowl but it was kind of scrarchy. End of September is the NYC Yarn Crawl. Getting my hair done for my 70th birthday on 21st then go on the Yarn crawl. Going to Argyle yarn store in Brooklyn they do their own hand dyed yarn. Next day going to Knitty City on upper west side. Artist from Yarn Over New York will be there. I made a hat with her yarn. Your yarn store is so much bigger and loved the colors. Thanks for showing us.
