My FIRST EVER VISIT to Efteling!! - Vlog

Join me as I visit Efteling for the first ever time! This is my first reaction vlog! Riding rides such as Baron 1898, Droomvlucht, Symbolica and Joris en draak! These rollercoasters and rides were insane and I’m so glad I got to experience the park for the first time! I will return in future for the AMAZING new ride Danse Macabre and to get on the rides we missed out on and that were closed.

For a lot of Dutch "De vliegende Hollander" is their favourite Efteling ride. Because of the amazing theming. Cool waiting line and indoor part and watercoaster in 1. If you ever get to try it just read the story about the ride first if you want to understand the indoor part. It's very dark in there. It has the best themed waiting line in the park. But the waiting line for the new ride Dance Macabre will be better I think. That ride is going to be epic. It has a new ride system that has never been done before in the world. Creepy!!

It is always fun to see people going to Efteling for the first time. For most of us Dutch this will happen when we are a toddler or first grader. Either with parents or on a school trip. I have seen the park evolve since the early 70's amd it has become one of the best parks in Europe. My only real issue with the park is that it is still very "just Dutch". I always hear from channels like yours that storylines are hard to follow. Especially with Efteling exclusives (people of Laaf for example_ this could do with better signage.Yes there is some but hardly anything about stories and such. Do they already have audiotours in English as I was told that would be a thing and that was a while ago (few years)

Its defently not a coaster park but it is still one of my favorite themeparks. Must say you about done maybe half the park at most. But you did do most of the major rides. I would suggest not coming during the weekend and a school holiday in may, june or spetember. Just look at the website of the park they have a good indication on how busy the days are.

Dan, you have to go back to experience everything! I did a two night stay at the Efteling hotel with three day park entrance and still didn't get on some attractions due to maintenance. Efteling is one of the best parks in the world and is only going to get better!

I've grown up with this park and have visited every year as a kid. Took a year pass with friends during college and have kept it ever since. There's just something special to me about this park, Fata Morgana is my absolute favourite! Sad yu didn't get to do everything, but that means you definitely have to come back! Hope yu'll enjoy Danse Macabre, we're also looking forward to it!

The reason the lift goes so slow on python is because you would else be standing to long still on the brake section. When its running one train the lift is faster or well more normal speed.

6:00 yes you chose the worst Symbolica tour :) According to "research" the Treasure tour is favorite (43%), followed by the Hero tour (30%) and then the Music tour (27%). But luckily you can do it multiple times!

People really underestimate Joris en de Draak. The blue side on the backrow is so intense. All the little airtime moments and laterals. Absolutely love it.

13:00 As much as I love Efteling. I’m not a fan of Carnaval Festival either. Efteling excels in the whimsical sort of theming that looks kind of realistic. Even thought the ride is a classic, I still feel like it’s a bit tone deaf. I think Max & Moritz pulls off the weird, childish theming way better.

What an amazing video. I was at Efteling too visiting from the UK on Tuesday 25th June! I’m only 9 years old and I went on my first upside down coaster (Python) i was scared at first but loved it went on 3 times.

I'm sure you had a great time, but I don't think you saw everything that made Efteling special. The Fairytale Forest is such a beautiful and integral part of the park's significance and history that it was quite shocking to me that you didn't even spend half an hour there. However, it did seem like a very busy day so that's understandable. When I went in April this year there were no crowds and everything was on 0 minutes lol. Spent 3 hours in the fairytale forest and went on every major ride at least once

Anyways, I do sincerly appologize that Flying Dutchman was closed because that's probably my favorite ride there.. I would advise you to come back for multiple days next time because you missed huge parts of the park by the looks of it..

Vila Volta actually was the first one!! had to laugh so hard....carnaval festival is from 1984, symbolica is from 2017. Do you really want to compare those :D Lifthill for Python probably is so slow due to operations; with 2 train service, they cant have to move faster, there would be a problem

Symbolica doesn't have a story according to Sander de Bruijn, the designer of the ride. It's just a tour through the castle "Hartenhof" in Pardoes' world of Symbolica. Droomvlucht also doesn't have a story. It simulates a flight through dreams. (Dreamflight is the English name). Villa Volta is a local Dutch Legend as well, and it is a shame the ride does not have a English version to tell the whole story. Cause then you actually get how good the ride is from start to finish. They explain a lot of the background and the curse of the house in the pre-show. Carnaval Festival is a darkride that is a cartoony version of a world tour, based of the way carnaval parades in The Netherlands are made. And I get, that it is not coming across on International guests cause they often have no idea about these big carnaval parades held in Februari in The Netherlands. But that is what the ride is about. Fata Morgana, the strongest darkride of the park. You start in a jungle where a wizzard takes you to the forbidden city, and in the end, it was just a "Dream" a "Fata Morgana". The best story based darkride from start to finish in the whole park. I hope this helps a little bit.

Carnival Festival is actually an older ride than It's a Small World. In fact: designers from Disney went to Efteling for inspiration. Eventually came up with It's a Small World after seeing Carnival Festival. :)

Wait until you’re a dad to a rollercoaster mad autistic nine-year-old and I can confidently say it’s the best theme park in the world! I don’t have to explain to him why he can’t go on a ride because he’s not tall enough, because he’s tall enough for everything. Unfortunately that means he’s now tall enough for The Big One and Infusion, a thought that chills my middle aged bones.

Yey! De Efteling❤❤❤ I went here in February and I loved it albeit was gutted to miss out on Joris en Draak and the water coaster that were both closed, but overall had an amazing time and fell in love with the charm and beauty of this park - will definitely be back, the only suggestion to make it a perfect park would be to add another couple of thrill rides for us thrill seekers

The lift hill of Python is faster when running one train. When with 2 it has to be slowed due to regulations.
