When I was there in summer, I told some friends that the bit of Nemesis track in the queue line is taken out during summer to compensate for expansion of the track in the heat, then put back again in Autumn. I still don't get how they believed it!

I went to Alton Towers last weekend and had a blast. Rita was actually one of my favourite rides, and a lot better than Dan keeps making it out to be. I did catch a nod to John Wardley on the curse at Alton Manor development signs, and I think I might’ve seen the code “SW” at some point.

@digitaldan you may have missed it but plastered around forbidden valley is J.W 94 and J.B 24 and as you pointed out the jw is John Wardley but the 94 is 1994 (when original nemesis opened) so jb is John burton 2024 (when nemesis reborn opened). It’s cool and also when nemesis reborn reborn opens it will have its new creator’s initials and (probably) 54 for 2054.
