As a local who lives and works in the area; it's been a nightmare! It's now Saturday before the actual race, my serving shifts have all been cancelled (restaurant is a literal ghosttown cause locals won't come near here and every tourist is close to the track) and the noise pollution from the concert and cars is pretty loud. But I get it, this is Vegas, but this is my least favorite event for sure.

This is being reported on a Vegas FB Site: “A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix after fans were forced to leave Thursday’s practice session following an hours long delay. Dimopoulos Law Firm and co-counsel JK Legal & Consulting filed the suit Friday in Nevada District Court on behalf of 35,000 fans who purchased tickets to Thursday’s practice run, the legal firms announced Saturday. Five individuals were named as plaintiffs in the suit, which are seeking over $15,000 in compensatory and general damages. ( This is just the first five customers, more to come)“

Yes I heard of the class action, though I'm typically not one to participate. I read through the terms after the event and I saw that while track time is scheduled, it's not guaranteed. It was a really unfortunate experience for those like me who only purchased Thursday night tickets, but it is what it is. They offered a $200 merch credit for those who only had Thursday tickets so I'll get a hat or two and call it day. I'm glad the rest of the weekend went well and the race was good. I heard about that practice issue Shin, I mean what a joke you're out of hundreds of dollars 💸 💵 💲 and all they give you is a voucher for the gift shop. SIGH🙁🙁🙁 for me it wasn't a good idea for F1 to show up in Vegas in the first place. All those stands that were built were a logistical nightmare, you even had a worker die and what about the road closures due to the paving that went on, and now it's going to take two months to take all the stands down what a mess 😒😒😒 it wasn't worth it in my opinion just my two cents on the matter we'll catch you on the next video 😊

Losing 300 sucks but if you could imagine the local businesses and workers who have rent, bills, etc. and have their usual income cut approx 35% bc of all the construction, block offs, and mayhem caused by the bigwigs of the resorts and F1 who eill never compensate them. These workers range from hosputality and restaurant management who depend on their work hours and/or tips. With over 35% of their paychecks cut before the holidays- that sucks! So think of it that way.

This F1 thing is a big joke. The people that live in Vegas and the tourists that have visited Vegas in the last few months have been greatly inconvenienced by this nonsense. Roads have been shut down and attractions have been shut down for months all for F1. This has been totally unfair to everyone just so this race could be run. What's more unfair is the fact that everything connected to the race is so expensive. Most of the people that live in Vegas have blue collar jobs and very few can afford the price of a ticket.

Dude do some research. The $300 price was for Vegas residents only. Regular ticket prices were much much higher. Over $2K!!!! "The newest event on the F1 calendar - taking place this weekend for the first time - has the highest base ticket prices in the history of Formula 1, with general admission tickets around the MSG Sphere on sale for $966, which do not provide a view of the circuit."

I bought my ticket as a resale off of Ticketmaster so I didn't get any kind of Vegas resident deal. I also only bought a single night, not the entire event.

THESE THINGS HAPPEN WITH A FIRST TIME RACE/EVENT/RESTAURANT OPENING ETC…..SORRY TO SEE THIS. THEY HAVE THINGS ALL FIXED AND TONIGHTS RACE WILL BE EPIC. A CITY COURSE IS ALWAYS MORE OF A CHALLENGE THAN THE OPEN EUROPEAN ROADS. EITHER WAY, IT’S GREAT TO HAVE F-1 ON THE STRIP. LAS VEAGS IS THE HUGE HOSPITALITY TOWN SO THESE LOCALS NEED TO SUCK IT UP AND DEAL WITH THE TRAFFIC. IT’S ALREADY BAD AT THE TROPICANA/15 FREEWAY WORK FOR THE PAST 10 MONTHS SO THEY KNOW THERE IS A PRICE GOING TO THE STRIP WITHOUT A HUGE VENUE. F-1 WILL BRING HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS TO LAS VEGAS BUSINESSES AND LAS VEGAS WORKERS. NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE SMOOTHER.

It didn't even need to wait until next year. My friend who went to Friday night had a great time and that was my biggest regret. I wish I put in the extra cash and got a Friday ticket instead of Thursday. I wanted to have a great first F1 experience and to only get 8 minutes of the scheduled 2 hours of track time really sucked. I'd be making a very different video if I went to night 2 I think. GREAT VIDEO EITHER WAY, YOU ATE LIKE A KING. YOU MUST HAVE A HOLLOW LEG, BE A COMPETITIVE EATER OR TAKE FOOD HOME. IF I WAS IN LAS VEGAS, I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING YOU DID AND BEEN THERE THE FIRST PRACTICE. F1 IWLL HAVE TO PAY UP TO TEAM FERRARI, THAT UNSECURED MANHOLE COVER CAUSED MILLION OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO THEIR CAR. WHAT A BUMMER FOR THEM. THE RACE WAS EPIC LAST NIGHT. I'm at least glad I can say I was at the first Vegas Grand Prix. I was even more salty at the fact that my friend who went Friday night had an amazing time. Its sucks that the first day of the grand prix was a disaster. Some of the foods look okay. Hopefully this race will be worth it for the city but my expectations are low. Glad you had a good time with the short time you had

Seems like elitist 🐎💩 to me! At least you got content out it! They should have lockers out there to store anything you can't bring in! Food looked pretty good taking everything into consideration! Wolfgang did a really good job on his end! I avoided Vegas around this time and I'm glad I did.

If I got the full experience of seeing hours of those cars zooming by and the crowd going nuts, I think I would have really enjoyed it. But I think it was less than 10 minutes of cars total which is what sucked. But they did give me some credit to get some merch so I got a hoodie and a few hats and a fanny pack out of it so I'm not too mad. They tried what they could. I might still go back to see this year. They announced today that LOCALS that went Thursday can get $200 credit for F1 merch. Not sure why only locals, and $200 is 1 shirt or 2 hats. Yeah. $100 for a baseball hat. But at least it's something to remember the disaster.
