why do i feel Like the after processing is huge with this one , great playing sir
@FrowinIckler11 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm glad you like my playing. Not much after processing. Just a little bit of compression and a Maximizer at the master bus. I would sum it up like this: a good bass, a good player, a good drumloop, a good recording hardware and a good mixing software makes it great altogether.

my long story short , living on an island , 3 music stores , 8 Fenders all together , i really want to purchase this blindfolded but something deep down is not convincing me to do so , and there are very little reviews about the bass , im not sure what to do
@FrowinIckler11 ай бұрын
@@Thiscopower Don't buy it without having it it in your hands. I got luck, but the Made In Mexico basses can sometimes be badly builded, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, nice playing Frowin! I had to ship mine back to Fender - Unfortunately the Nut only was cutted for B and G string. The inbeetween ones were so high that the instrument wasnt playable at all - For the price tag a no go and unfortunate because i may have kept it otherwise.
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, this is unbelievable, ridiculous and embarrassing!! What about the quality control? Looks like I had luck. Only the pickguard and the not adjustable neck PU are my issues with the bass. I will keep the bass, I already put on some light machine heads, makes the bass lighter and better sounding, too...

B Nice playing, are you able to get a decent p-tone from this bass?
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The first 30 sec i am playing the neck PU and i think this is already a decent p-bass sound (the active electronic is engaged). You could go maybe a little further if you lower the bass and boost the mids more or play in passiv mode (but then without a toneblend). There are many active jazzbasses that are sounding too clean IMO, but this bass still got a lot of wooden tone and warmth in active mode. I am impressed!

Hey cool bass and playing. What exactly do you mean with "the overall treatment is ok"? Does the instrument come with any issues or do you talk about factory adjustments? After all it costs as much as an American made bass so I hoped the Mexican made quality is as good as you can expect for this price.
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
Thanks :-) I don't know what I can expect with an MIM Fender, but there are some issues: The pickguard fits not perfect (you can see under it), I can't adjust the neck PU and the g-string has a sizzle and a strange overtone when playing open and till the 5th fret. Compare to my Yamaha 1025x and my Nordstrand Acynonix bass the treatment is worst i would say. And these basses are much cheaper...
@SxSxG666 Жыл бұрын
@@FrowinIckler Thanks for the answer. They sound like easy to fix problems but considering the price someone could easily expect a better quality control no matter where the instrument is made. Especially since you can buy Japan made guitars with no issues at all for less money. I'll get mine tomorrow because I really felt in love with the specs of this bass. I let you know about any issues regarding my bass. Hopefully I am lucky :)

I think I like your playing way more than the bass. How does the low b feel to you? The pickups are the best bit of the bass perhaps
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
Thank you, James! The Low B is very good, clear and defined. And yes, the pickups are the best part of the bass. And with the electronic the bass is very versitile. It sound never like clean active bass, always sounding warm and more like a passive bass. On my last gigs I also realized that when you're playing higher notes on the g string or so, it never loses low-end. It's a bit like the shortscale basses. I think that's the benefit of the PU's.
@DimyBass Жыл бұрын
How is its playability?
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
@@DimyBass Very good! Thin neck and smooth surface of the back of the neck. You can adjust the string hight with the trussrod very well. But I replaced the tuning machines with lighter ones from Sandberg. The bass wasn't neck heavy but the overall balance and weight on the left hand is much better now.

Cool, you buy a MonoNeon bass and proceed to play like Paul Jackson.😊
@FrowinIckler Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's right :-) The colour and humbuckers catched my interest, not the fact, that this is a MonoNeon bass. Of course I love, what he's doing. And yes, Paul Jackson is one of my heroes, but hopefully I am sounding like "me", too ;-)
