My first flight and crash on the OMP M2 Evo MK2

Thanks for coming out to the event we enjoyed having BKhobbies and the guys from AMPS demonstrating their skills for us!!! The m2 is quite a sturdy heli I’ve had three hard crashes without bending a single shaft.

That was really a crazy flight! You seemed to feel very, very comfortable with this liettle swety from the fisrt second! Maybe even a bit too comfortable! I can't believe that only a servo horn broke in this quite hard crash. What a tank!!

I couldn't believe it either, I thought shafts were bent, blades were broken, but only the elevator servo horn, we flew it again later. Super strong for sure!

@ yes love the learning series with Alex etc.; have them all saved to playlist! The M2 EVO Mk2 doesn’t use a Nexus/Rotorflight. When Jonas showed the OFS3 he did a fast setup, would appreciate to see how you setup CRSF protocol; Inputs, Mixer, Outputs.💪🏽🙏🏽

It didn't even bend a spindle or main shaft? Thats my one gripe with GS S2. Butter steel for main shaft and spindle. Bend if you look at them to hard.

Nothing, just servo horn. Crazy! We double checked them and flew it afterwards and was smooth as silk.

So Bert, how did it feel to you? (I'm guessing this is out of the box settings elrs?). I've got one but I'm always curious about the opinion of someone with a lot of experience.

Not my machine, but out of the box settings indeed with ELRS and TX16S. I feel like I can tune a few things like perhaps slow down the tail a bit, increase collective, etc., but I was very impressed and happy with how it flew. I haven't flown a micro that flies so well in a long time, but granted technology keeps improving.

​@@BertKammerer Yeah, it's a quick little thing but having just started doing half piro flips on this which gave me the confidence to transfer to the m4 max / goosky rs5 and repeat. I guess that means the m2 will likely be getting put to work for 3d training!

I bought an omp m2 mk2 with a zorro radiomaster 4 in 1 !!! but then realize that there was no integrated receiver!!! Is there anyone who knows what kind of receiver I should put in it!!!!

Yeah I almost crashed mine. It flew very different compared to other birds I fly hard

@BertKammerer I was laughing so hard. Those smaller helicopters are a blast. I dont own that one, but I do have an S2 and the Rs4 Venom. Helicopters are awesome these days. What a comeback!!
