My FIRST GAME* at FENWAY PARK BOSTON on INDEPENDENCE DAY - ON THE FIELD and Behind RAYS Dugout

My first time watching a GAME at legendary FENWAY PARK, and on the Fourth of July! I hope you enjoy my game day experience watching my Tampa Bay Rays vs the Boston Red Sox. We got on the field and sat behind the dugout!

My first trip to Fenway Park was in the 1940's just after the war ended......My brother and I hopped on our bicycles and peddled from Somerville to Kenmore Square to watch the Red Sox play ball......We locked our bikes to a pole and paid 50 CENTS to sit in the bleachers.....I DON'T remember who was playing the Red Sox but the field and all those seats looked amazingly huge compared to our hometown city ballfields.........Braves Field was in same area more or less so many times we also watched the Braves play......We saw all the old time greats like Ted Williams, Mantle, DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, etc., etc..........It was a good time to grow up and now have all those great memories.......I'M getting close to 90 and watch all my teams on T. V. as the cost of tickets are out of sight......( HA ).....

awesome feild experience. last time i was on a baseball feild was at the Dodgers stadium and the Angels stadium. Back in high school while in marching band we were invited to play the national anthem for both teams not in one day.

I am glad you all had so much fun, just sorry the Rays lost. I grew up in New England and until I moved to Florida, they were my team. My favorite movie filmed in Fenway and other stadiums was Fever Pitch. It was cool they changed the end of that movie when the Red Sox won the World Series.
