I’ve been wanting to join a local volleyball league for a while now but have been so intimidated by the thought of it as I haven’t played since early high school. I watch a lot of college volleyball and professional, but it’s so so refreshing to see a real match like this where people make some totally sick plays but also make mistakes and that those mistakes aren’t the end of the world. This is exactly what I’ve been needing to see, so thank you! Also congrats on healing and getting back into the game!! Both you and your team did great (and your setter was killing it)!

I hope you can find a great open gym environment near you! I started over pandemic and it was thanks to a diverse crowd of college players, newbies like me, old highschool players, etc. that really helped me grow as a volleyball player and really fall in love with the sport. We tend to get old highschool players who get frustrated with their mistakes, but a good environment really calms them down and be ok with relearning the sport :)

i actually really enjoyed watching this, ofc its a bit weird to play after a year, i understand that, you just need some time to remember some things, i want more of those in the future, maybe like FIRST person POV, why not ? just use belt with gopro on your chest or maybe head (if you`re crazy) would look much better, also you can make extra credits after the video where you can describe your faults or maybe good plays (in your opinion ofc) i think it would be very informative, thanks for your content, and always look up since this is volleyball ;)

I played intramural vollyeball during highschool and at one of my local vball clubs just for fun. They'd have a few nights where you can do drop-ins and play with friends/the community. Definitely a fun experience and I'm hoping to go and do it again during break.

honestly, seeing this made me want to play volleyball haha, problem is that my right foot is injured, my back and core is shit, i might start working out to maybe start playing, tho is hard doing that when your 34 and work in a desk for most of the day haha. In fact, my nephew is 15 and started playing at school, so would be good quality time with him. I used to play beach tennis, which have a lot less impact in the sand, but im not doing anything for months now, my body is a complete wreck atm hahah

Are the guys on your team in the red shirt and the usc shirt brothers? Also, on serve receive you should spread your feet a fraction wider and widen the angle between your chest and arms. It'll help you pass more accurately.

Can anyone explain what a grading game is? None of the sports I played in America use that terminology as far as I'm aware.

Its when all the teams play a couple games at the start of the season to determine who is in which grade. So you can have some of the higher division teams playing the lower division teams. But it's also a chance for the lower teams to make their way up
