I think the item has a pretty cool name. Malignance. Festering death, deterioration, anger, and/or evil. Really matches with the item effect of leaving damaging areas that reduce their defenses.

That means he's 400 gold closer to item powerspikes. Nothing really wrong if you want to keep buying tear for xerath, but practicing mana management without it will make you a lot better as a player, and it's really not something to judge zwag for.

I think that Ult item would work well for Teemo. The shroom slow would keep them in the radius reducing their MR which then increases the rest of the damage they take from the shroom. Then if they walk into another it happens again. Also pretty sure the cooldown on it is that you can only have one burning circle at a time, so the cd is 3s.

Having more then 1 would be a bit much on aoe ults like neeko or mf... get a 5 man ult on neeko get 5 pools or mf getting 1 pool per hit on more then 1 person would totally be far too strong... thinking Lucian would be hilarious or hiemer missles lol.

I think Malignance would be good on someone who can use their ult a lot, like a Teemo. Imagine every shroom leaves an AOE burn puddle, plus it slows already, so it's gonna be extra zoning. - Or any CC ult like Zyra or Renata. - Can you imagine a Renata ult and the whole enemy team starts bonking one another while sitting in AOE burn puddles? - Seems cheap enough that AP poke supports that rely on their ult could go for it.

Malignace is alot of fun on teemo with dark harvest liandrys and the storm item. And I'm not sure if they will patch this but the little grublings count for scion W passive. If your left alone in the pit and just hit them once then stand there they spawn constantly so you can cheese early hp growth.

Malignance really isn't about the burn damage more so the ult haste and MR strip. It works best on champs who can either use their ults often (Teemo/Kogmaw/Corki/Kassadin and so on) or champs who like to lead with their ults and then burst or damage over time. (Fizz, Fiddlesticks, Swain, Malphite, Amumu, Hwei) AP shaco with Malignance is also really fun. The fear from your clone exploding holds them in the puddle for a while and makes them take a lot of damage from the boxes, and Shaco usually follows a clone explosion up with E.

I see Hwei is more suitable as support and control mage secondary. He can be either enchanter or poke mage because of his kit. And if played mid, I think utility role suits him better.

So Far the item works the best on Teemo it seems, It will proc on Shrooms Everytime. I think the item needs to have a buff for champs like Xerath / Teemo/ Anyone with Spammable "R"s that the Zone doesn't Vanish after a New R Cast. Also, I think the Value in a Team fight of the Zone is going to be massive especially vs Tanks and Fighters. You Will get so much Free AOE damage but so Far I think so far though the Item is really only good on Teemo / Leblanc. When they make it so it can Spawn A Zone Per Ult Cast that Doesn't Vanish I think it becomes really good for Champs with Spammable Ults. - Teemo (Currently best user probably) - Leblanc Doube Chain is a Nice use for it - Malzher - Aniva - Kass I just think the buff it needs is to make more than one Zone. Buffs it hard for Kass , Xerath & Teemo

The ult burn item seems to work well on magic pen builds... seems like all pen items you can get damn near true damage on people that dont buy any mr. Cant wait for the item info for damage to get added so we can see how good or bad it is... the current one doesnt seem to work the numbers change alot for me at least.

something entertaining watching hwei and xerath lightning bolting each other >< Malignance - Its a bit underwhelming damagewise considering its ult only but with the ult haste and the resist stripping I can see it having its place for making things squishier for champs that use their ult as an opener, malphite getting faster ults that also burn and strip the enemies stunned in it for example! With all the extra magic pen and mr removal I can see "lethality mage" maybe becoming a thing >< Infact malphite stacking magic pen and resist stripping sounds like a "fun" build to possibly try (malignance, abysal mask, etc etc) Remember when they said they couldn't make a silco champ because his silhouette wasn't distinct enough from other champs ¬_¬

I really think people are underestimating Malignance. Sure, it does less raw damage than Caster's Companion, but the 40 Haste on ultimate + magic resist reduction is REALLY strong for champions like Orianna, Viktor and such. If one of those hits an Ultimate on 3~4 enemys, debuffing and burning them all, followed up by someone with high magic damage, its a devastating combo for teamfights. Maybe its more of a situational item, but i don't think it's bad at all.

Malignance seems to not be on a set CD, but instead you can only have 1 burn pool out at a time. Even worse multiple instances of ult damage (even if its not tick/dot) doesn't override the original.

zwag as a iron 4 malzahar one trick i beg you to play malzahar with malignance first/second, casters companion first/second, liandry Dcap and shadowflame (for E tick crits maybe squishy oneshot?) or stormurge(definetly E squishy oneshot) i think these are the most damage dealing builds (for one shots) in the game for malzahar since casters procs like 4 times in one E with liandry and stormsurge is broken

I wonder how Malignance ends up working with Morgana. The pool, and by extension the cooldown, is 3 seconds. Her ultimates' tether lasts 3 seconds. So either you end up with 1 pool and nothing notable. Or 2 pools and the enemy gets stunned in the second pool. Malzahar is interesting due to 2.5 seconds of supression guaranteeing a large portion of the damage. Kog'Maw can be interesting due the spammability. LeBlanc, Karma and Udyr may be interesting if those empowered basic abilities count as ultimates.

ASol already has his Q maxed at level 9 when you get the tonic, and that's mostly all you care about in terms of skill points. Also generally ASol doesn't do enough burst in the early game to make effective use out of first strike when compared to Comet.

I think the enemy Hwei needs to posture a bit more level 1-2 against Xerath. You won't win a snipe off, but if you pressure them into missing a Q and then QQ them you might get to poke them out of lane early because you have the snipe to threaten kills if they stay on low health.

The potion that give an extra skill point doesnt allow you to get the second point in your ult at 10. Its still level 11 for the second point. SRO found this out on his teemo video.

The thing about malignance is that the mr shred also boost other players ap damage. The item gives you more ult cast, mr shred and residual damage you can proc multiple times. It's really good for teamfights, but not for bursting

Yeah, it's definetely more of a utility item rather than raw damage. I can see it being very useful on things like Galio, Lissandra, Morgana, maybe Karma, and such.... Just not on burst mages.
