This game is a masterpiece! I am from Greece and I like the mix of Greek and Norse mythology in this game. I got the platinum 🏆 for it about a year ago and I really enjoy seeing people's reaction to it. Fun fact. The whole game uses one camera only. Very cinematic! Enjoy the journey Liz!

This is the game which drove me to get a PS 4 Pro and I haven't looked back since. I think it is the only game where a single camera shot was used making the transition between gameplay and cut scenes seamless which made the experience even more immersive. The mocap and voice acting is off the chart in this masterpiece. Subscribed.

I like that you use your fist a lot. Some ppl won't swing at the enemy until they have the axe. Just keep swinging and and get the enemies power down. This episode was a banger and I enjoy listening to you as well. Great job @LizXP 👍

You gotta an absolute banger. I remember playing playing the earlier games. One of them was announced at the Superbowl way back then. Part 2 and 3 are my favorites. I play this on PS5 with 60fps they added. I also use the o.g. controls they also added. I visited every island I possibly find and kicked ass. Right before they hit you tap the block button and dodge left or right. The more aggressive you are the easier it will be. There is special loot everywhere. Stray off the path much as possible. I would love the golden delicious and red delicious varieties, but one of the most interesting ones was the green Newtown Pippens.. not as sweet as the Red and Golden apples, but still tasty! You will see a lot of people saying watch a recap of older games or play them first and while thats fine and the way they have done it, I played this game first out of all them and then afterwards watched a background, and honestly it was brilliant. I likened the experience to watching the original star wars trilogy before the prequels. Great place to start

Hello Liz, so cool do see you pick up the God of war games! I kind of drifted away from your channel after RDR2, but i will surely follow this series closely. I would highly recommend that you take an hour on wikipedia to read up on the basics in norse mythology to begin with. Even if the game is very artisticly far from the mythology it is still set in that pantheon and it is good to know the names and realms and what they represent. And also find some quick brief about Kratos backstory, it might also be good. Looking forward for the next one. Green

I can't recommend the original trilogy before playing this game enough! The impact of this game is almost 10 times better if you've actually played the original trilogy. Don't watch videos about the original trilogy, though. It's really not the same. Also, ignore the people who suggest you somehow get some "mystery" experience by not having played the trilogy. There's no such thing, you just can't relate to the story and the characters the same way.

As someone that played the originals before 2018, I totally see where you’re coming from. Obviously the big reveal (not to spoil) is infinitely more emotional if you’ve played them. But on the flip side, not knowing about his history puts you in the shoes of Atreus in a way, and makes a lot of the games reveals about Kratos’ history more impactful since, unlike those who’ve played prior entries, it’ll be news to you. Not to mention, going back to play the originals after 2018 is a super unique perspective. Watching someone who’s played 2018, and knows that older, wiser Kratos, go back and see *why* he’s so regretful and so distrustful of the gods, is super interesting. Especially seeing their reaction to God of War 3.

Kratos is a character in Greek mythology, but his video game story is much different. I highly recommend watching a quick summary of the previous games (you could make it a reaction video, up to you 🤷‍♂️). Video game Kratos has a rich backstory that, if you know it, makes this reboot more emotionally impactful.

What I look for in the first boss fight is at which point the players will go to the axe. Surprisingly few players seem to understand that only the final phase of the fight calls for the axe. The rest is set up and choreographed in a way that Kratos only wants to beat this guy up not slash him to pieces and that the player is supposed to learn unarmed combat including blocking and dodging first. But quite a number of players I watched went for the axe right away. You didn't.

I love watching your vids! As someone who grew up playing the original GoW series, I seem to be in the minority of people who disliked the direction this game took the series. The original series was arcadey, fast paced, albeit not very deep in plot. This game is very slow paced (intentionally), the combat is not arcadey and the view is slightly annoying over the shoulder, while bosses and enemies alike had to be approached in a very particular way. It's not that it doesn't work, it's just a big departure from what the original was. The story is good and is definitely enhanced if you know the backstory. Again, it's not that I don't like the game... it's just not what I expected, nor is it what I wanted it to be.

The letter "Ö" (Oumlaut) was an import to Swedish from German a few centuries ago. It would not have been used by the Late Iron Age Nordics. Well, they wouldn't have used any of the Latin alphabeth. The Danish / Norwegian equivalent is a slashed O. The sound value is like the French "-eu" or the English "i" in "sir". As a Swede i use "Jotun" which actually means "Devourer" not "Giant". Jotnar (plural) are forces of change, and at least the female ones can be good. Often married to Gods.
