Awesome! I was wanting to know what an all blacked out Crooked River looked like while I waited for my order to be processed. I gone with the same everything as yours! $140 for 20sv, I'm hoping it'll last longer then my Spyderco PM2 (I really love the back lock on Spyderco's). It'll be my first BM folder, never really cared much for the lock mechanism but hopefully this knife will sway my opinion.

@@thepracticalblade9013 Yeah, probably worth it if money isn't an issue. I'm happy I get 60% off of all BM knives, I wouldn't have ever bothered with them if that weren't the case. I'm already looking at getting another custom knife, probably a Bugout blacked out in M4 steel and carbon fiber scales. It'd be cool to see them have more knife options though, especially would be cool to see more color options for screws and even blades (I kind of dig a neon rainbow theme so I don't lose it at work). Guess that's why there are aftermarket options. Just none for Crooked River sadly. Speaking of, did you ever get your Crooked River to loosen up?

@@EvilWiffles This day day, after MONTHS of rigorouse use and break-in and maintenance, the blade still never swings freely like other BM's I've handled. I'm wondering if its the MCR platform. I can't say the blade isn't heavy enough, because I've handled Bugouts that swing freely. If im being honest, im getting ahead of my review here, but I can't REALLY get the type of action i enjoy from a Benchmade without loosening the pivot / surrounding screws and introducing blade play. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's disappointing given it's one of the qualities most people hope for out of their knives from Benchmade.

@@thepracticalblade9013 Interesting. I noticed that you had the mini which I didn't notice before my original comment. I've ordered the full size CR; I'll comment if I get the same issue from it as you do with your MCR. I guess I can check if my workplace has some NIB MCR's I can test in the meantime. Definitely disappointing if that's not just a one off problem.

I have the mini wood with black G10 bolster and open pillar spacers instead of the orange handle spacer ! I put spacers on my large and I ordered black bolster with jade scales and a large with wood scales all together 3 knives and will trade parts so I have three knives and large and mini matching all under $100.00 maybe ! axis lock are not hard if you follow the order and have just a little skill ! benchmade is a disloyal company !!! not passing on the savings from using Chinese cnc machine to make their parts for them on to the customer ,you know like a customer loyal company would do ! their quality control is very hit and miss ( they blow goats ,I have proof ) !

Edge retention was my primary concern because I planned on using this knife as much as possible, not making it a safe queen. Fair warning: 20cv is a pain to sharpen. Very tough.

Ok, two weeks later... How is it now? I was annoyed for you with action so bad even with screws falling out.

Significantly better after some AGGRESSIVE forced-breaking-in, however, still not dropping shut / free swinging from gravity alone.

Such a big mistake! The light comes behind you...We can not see any colours or details of the knife. You have to sit the other way around. The light must come behind the camera!

Learning curve - this was from before i had an established format. I think everyone on KZbin will survive. The review of the knife is up and has better angles on that video.
