I went to vishnav devi with friends family. They had some sources so we had a stay in shrine board hotels. Entry was vip bcz he knew the army ppl and some ppl from govt of Jammu. Had such an amazing time there. Literally miss those few days.

According to me, VIP culture is not good in the sense of temples, for god everyone is at same level, for me going to temple on common darshan line is worth it, going to temple without any hardship is not worth it if it is like vaishnaodevi temple, with helicopter it is like travelling a common temple in your locality, if any elderly wants to travel then it is another case.

Many elderly are even afraid to walk on an escalator, forget a helicopter. With elderly or disabled people, the family should be allowed, which actually it is. Helicopter service is also a way to actually reduce the time duration of the yatra trek. Not everyone has 3-4 day holiday from their jobs. And not everyone can walk 14 km on foot. Considering all such things, the Shrine Board has allowed helicopter service. And since 20 yrs it is going all fine. And not only Vaishnodevi but almost all pilgrimage sites especially on Hills like Gangotri, Vaishno Devi, Kedarnath, etc all of them has helicopter service. And Helicopter just takes you to Sanjichhat only the rest of the distance everybody has to travel alone. And at Bhavan, everybody is in the same darshan line. The Bhavan is located very remotely from Katra. And it is good we have many different ways of reaching there. And yes for God, everybody is at the same level. Going by helicopter doesn't make any difference. But it gives an extra opportunity to those who can't go because of some reason.
