Shoulda taken that pic at the gap between Wren Crag and Long Band with that marvellous wall leading the eye to Blencathra - moral of the story: never plan to take the picture on the way back! Glad to see you're back on the fells, Henry.

The footage in this video is absolutely stunning. I assume you have got the new osmo action 4. Whatever it is, it is class. Yours is one of the few channels that I look forward to seeing a new video from each week. It was great to see you out and about after the surgery, and I look forward to seeing what your new photography camera is. Take care 🍀

Henry, that was sure fun. Do you ever just take a quick snapshot to record a location that you may want to revisit? Early in the video you passed up a shot saying you would come back that way and get it, but then you did the loop. I was certainly happy to see the sights on the loop, but I just wondered if you might ever want to go back and get that photo? Also, I am so curious all the time with how far you walk on your expeditions. Would you consider tracking that, if you don’t already, and let us know? You provide such enjoyment. Thank you!

I’ve spent the last 3 weeks in the Lake District (bucket list) and the Yorkshire Moors, it truly surpassed my wildest expectations, you’re soooo lucky to live in such a beautiful country Henry. Did have some trouble with the knees and ankles, especially downhill, but we’re not accustomed to hilly country in the Netherlands 😊 Hope to come over again soon, seen the fact that I purchased a gigantic amount of OS-maps 😅 Hope your eyes ánd your knee get better soon, greets from Holland, John! 👋🏼

Love the extended walk and talk style of this one. The backgrounds in every shot were stunning. I have no idea how you didn't stop for 1200 photos. I'd have ended up going so slowly I'd have needed to take my tent and camp out overnight.

I love how you turned the camera around and added footage of the actual walk, i felt like i was walking with you. About your knee: I don't know if it's the same issue I've had, but it looked in the same area so might be. I've had tendonitis of my knee before, which was at the bottom end of my knee. Walking was ok, but going down anything steep would cause a very sharp pain, like a knife being stuck in. You can get some bands that go around underneath your knee that help a lot, but you're right that the problem itself is I think caused by an imbalance in the muscles of your leg, and seeing a physio would be the best idea. The bands are a lifesaver to keep being able to get out there though. I'm glad to see you out and about, and hope your eye heals quickly. Looked like a fantastic hike, and is definitely going on my list...only about 5 weeks until my partner and I are in the Lake District...can't wait! I'm keeping my fingers crossed we catch some of the autumn colour. Thanks for another fantastic video Henry!

Good to see you back out again! Glad the recovery is going well! 've been wondering for a while now, does it matter at all for you when the video is being watched? I don't always get to it the first day right away, does that matter at all for KZbin? It may have been a small hill you went on, but it's absolutely gorgeous there!

"I try to find the joy in everywhere that I go... it's an absolute gift.." You could say that about 1000 times, as it describes you perfectly. It is also the reason we all watch your videos. All the best.

Glad to see you back. This was a very colorful hike - enjoy your hikes as always. You should name the "puddle" and let the powers to be know what the name is. Maybe "Lake Henry". Great to hear you're back on the mend. The reason I love your channel is that it is all about getting out there enjoying the countryside, often it seems more than the photography. When you're hiking up a fell chatting away, it sometimes feels like I'm there with you (without the effort) I also love the fact you don't keep banging on about gear and processing. There are thousands of videos that cover these subjects and not enough about the experience of being out there creating photographs and discussing the process. Having said that, I'm really curious about what your new camera is. Looking forward to your next video.

Oh Henry, what an awesome video this week, you have proved beyond doubt that the Lake District has to be the jewel in the crown of the UK. It certainly was my favourite area to visit back when I was able to do those walks. My big sadness is not being able to see the colours as most people do, it must be mind-blowing. I'm loving the "walk and talk" format, not only do we get to hear your words of wisdom, but we get the full effect of the views as you stroll along, and as an added bonus, we get the "squelching through puddles" soundtrack. I very much like and appreciate it when you point out your route and name the various peaks, fells and tarns. There must be loads of us who can't do the walks now but can re-live them through your work - thanks bud.

Good to see you active and wandering the fells. You are right that Rigg is an old word for Ridge - common in the Lake District, but Rigg also appears well into Lancashire too. Whilst, I'm on about old words, Tewit is an old country word for Peewit (aka Lapwing or Green Plover) - the small wading bird that lives on boggy or marshy ground - very much like the area around Tewit tarn... Great images - great to see what you can produce on a decent walk.

🇨🇦/🇺🇸... Happy to see you out n about, Henry! I have similar sunglasses. One of the benefits is that amber cuts out blue rays which are more divergent than the other colours of the spectrum resulting in a sharper view without resorting to prescription sunglasses. Now... re landscape photography. I hate paths. Here, across the pond, so many people frown on you if you leave a path to take photos. NAME... "Turner Tarn"! Seeing as some of my cousins are Turners, I think this is a good choice! ;-)

The best thing I have ever found about knee injuries and knee issues is to make sure they are well lubricated. This can be accomplished by doing rotational exercises before you do anything. The other thing is to stretch well before and after. I know these may seem to be simple things but they work. Also, make sure that you are using really good shoes with the proper arch support. Another no brainer but you would be surprised how many times those things will add to issues with the lower extremities joints. As a side note, running is not good for the knees. Walking gives you better exercise with less wear and tear on your joints.

Great choice choosing High Rigg to get you back into the swing of things Henry, I have walked it many times and never tire of it. Its a good option for anyone just starting out on their fellwalking journey and also the budding landscape photographer.
