Thanks, I really appreciate it! If you're playing in an online league, you might have to switch somewhen this season either way but I get your point. It will be interesting to see especially how the new ways to watch the games will improve.

I've played the first access a few times. Quick thoughts. The good: User interface, having player progress in table form instead of just the line graph. Yes I like the auto-zoom. I've seen a surprising number of complaints about it. But I think it makes it easier to follow the plays. Previously the OL, TE, and QB were squished together and I couldn't see a running play develop. No more $350K contracts for any free agent. More team customization. The bad: UI does have some organization issues, for example it's no longer possible to go to the Roster screen from anywhere like before, it's not always visible on top. Scouting largely untouched (They made such a good improvement in the college game I was hoping this would follow suit).

Totally agree with your points. Player progress was not something I talked about but definitely an improvement. As a big scouting and draft fan, I would have also liked an improvement here, especially in-draft trades as mentioned. But maybe they'll change something about scouting and the draft in the future.

Why does it zoom In!? It looks so much better zoomed out

Maybe there will be an option in future versions to deactivate zooming in. It will definitely need time to get used to that.

Actually zooming in was a request I made several times because the problem with the zoomed out view to me, is that especially OL and DL are so jumbled up it's hard to see how they're moving. Maybe they should make it customizable but I like the zoom in, makes the play easier to follow. Not so crazy about the animated players though.

Really like the nfl but as a football manager player I've been looking for an in depth management game for the nfl. Madden just doesn't do it for me. This looks pretty good, is it in depth and interesting to play?

I also came from Football Manager and was looking for something similar in the NFL world. In my opinion this is the closest to it but of course not on the same level as the FM by Sega. You can go very in depth with strategy and spend a lot of time on that. I'm pretty sure that there's a free trial available so you can easily check it out before fully committing to it.

@@the.wobbegong NFL is boring, i just watched this video for curiosity. Maybe i thought the manageing aspect of it would turn me onto the real sport. But no.

@@the.wobbegong I do take you seen the surprise re-awakening of Front Office Football- A version Nine came this fall but still need patches. The old FOFs was way more detailed than this DDS game. Not sure why DDS persist on focus on UI, when it by many still misfires. They are forgetting the heart of the game and all the stats FOF puts out. Just have a look after a game with tons of info on every play detailed written. Behind Football Manager and baseball version OOTP I think FOF is third in manager games.
