My FIRST LAPS in a F1 BRABHAM JUDD V10 - A dream come true!

It's always great to see the young drivers who get the opportunity to drive the F1 cars of the 70, 80s, 90s to early 2000s to have such respect and appreciation for them. It was more extreme back then and the cars required more from the driver. They were more connected to the machine. Today they are so refined and quiet. H-pattern stick w/ clutch heel-toe is a skilled art that is so much fun.

they definitely aren't quiet in person still but I guess compared to the old cars, they are a bit quieter. Keep in mind they had v6 turbos in the '80s too

This was fabulous! I witnessed Damon Hill's Grand Prix debut in that actual car at Silverstone in 1992! What I remember above all else was the overwhelming sound of 20 or so of those V10 engines revving to their peak power at the start.

I remember that! We were at Beckets, and poor Damon was propping up the field. There were signs being held up reading “Damon, they went that way” with an arrow for him to follow!!

We are lucky enough to have 2 1997 f1 cars powered by Judd v10s at my local track ( Road America ) that we get to watch run several times a year. Best sound I have ever heard. Awesome video

Talk about an excellent ambassador for the sport!!! "Kinda sorta" think getting in as a new subscriber under 100K subs at this time will be way in the rear view mirror in F1 time! One of the things I don't miss about racing is the "burn suit".. But, I wouldn't get into a vehicle without one! Looking forward to following your career more closely!! Hello from America. Very proud of Your driving skills. Have been a motorsports fan for forty years. I could have went to see my first F1 race with Senna in England 1992, but my military duties were too demanding. I have since been to F1 race at Indianapolis 2000, where Hakkinen battled Frentzen and others. My heart was with you in that Judd V10. By my count Sophia, on record You have been in at least 150 races. I'm waiting to see the newest design of 2023 F1 Machines. Although I am a huge, LEMANS fan. As you say the most important factor is LUCK in racing. Don't ever be discouraged by results. Everytime, Every race, Every Car You sit in, do your best. The Heart and Courage it takes to sit behind that wheel proves You've got what is needed. Back to the Judd V10, Imagine how demanding it was to shift that H pattern and battle your opponent every turn, g forces against you, and tire and fuel stops. We want You to succeed ! Go Go Go Speed Racer...Go Sweetheart...

Small correction: Amati didn't qualify because of the 107% rule. That rule came later (1996 i believe) She didn't qualify because only 26 runners were allowed and she was never fast enough to be in the 26 positions.
