Guys, this is a BT52B. I think the B makes enough of a difference to be mentioned correctly. Not as much as with the McLaren MP4/5 & 4/5B of 89 & 90, but enough. The livery of the B is (arguably) nicer than the inversely coloured BT52. ...But the nose is missing the beautiful curves over the suspension, which the first iteration had. I guess none of that shape body survive? Anyway....sorry to be pedantic. Beautiful car! So different from everything else. You don't get that variety now. Regulations too stringent At 2:47 you can see the humps in the nose I was referring to. Lovely thing.

I think generally you want a layout where you want all the weight centralized and lower in an F1 car. Mid engine with sidepods on both sides. But this went a different route. The sidepods and a majority weight at the back of the car for mechanical rear grip. Like a Porsche 911.

@rahulsudhir6668 ай бұрын
Guess you're gonna get that call from Murray's lawyer Bob. 😂 The man has quite the history of silencing critics or questioning _his_ achievements, especially at a time when GMA is selling cars. I don't know if you've watched the clip but The late brake show had on an engineer (whose name I can't recall) who worked with Murray who had come with evidence that he was the one behind a few achievements in aerodynamics n suspension setup which was even acknowledged by McLaren but Murray took away the spotlight n even attributions for those. He even showed a copy of letters he'd sent to Murray demanding that he clarify to the media about the truth but what he got in response was a cease n desist n a defamation lawsuit threat. I'm guessing that the individual didn't have the means to fight an entity as large as Gordon Murray n all his connections. Unfortunately that episode I'm referring to was taken down n I'm guessing GMA's lawyers had a hand in it n forced a gag order on Jonny Smith.
