Key the complete artist. He has been in charge of fashion for MVs for Shinee for years. On his albums it's his concept, artistic components, choreo, outfits, Key's creativity touches every aspect. Choreo king he can learn a dance in minutes and knows and can perform more girl groups choreo than anyone. But lest we not forget his vocals and vocal range. Key's Bad Love album I wore out in 2021. Title track Bad !ove that has an 80's look and vibe wjth a sound and vocals you could hear the WEEKEND slide right into. I know you would love it Teddy. Key is an amazing soloist. Every member of SHINee is a fantastic solo performer, you just can't go wrong with group or any of them individually. Key is just the absolute king of concepts - his marketing for his solo stuff is so good. Some of my faves of his: Helium, Bound, One of Those Nights (ft. Crush), Hate That (ft.Taeyeon), Gasoline... all of it is fabulous.

Key debuted with SHINee in 2008 (alongside Taemin, Onew, Minho, and Jonghyun), so he's been in the industry for a while. He's a fashion icon in Kpop, and is one of the stylists in SM, has styled SHINee as well as himself in both live performances and mvs. His mvs usually have many wonderful wardrobe changes. Definitely recommend Bad Love, Helium (no mv for this one), and Killer.

My partner is mostly indifferent on kpop but sometimes when I have it playing in our condo he will ask me to play Key Bad Love because it's just such an amazing song. "Good & Great" is the title track from Key's newest mini album Good & Great, which was just released, and including his Japanese album and repackages, this is Key's 6th solo album. "Good & Great" is the beginning of a new style and concept for him. How I interpret the "Good & Great" lyrics and MV is that Key is experiencing the monotony of life as an average person who spends every day doing the same things. Like most people, to keep motivated he keeps telling himself, "I'm good, I'm great ..." I should be grateful because I have a job and I'm getting paid. But as we see in the MV, life is a never-ending loop like a character in a game or the robotic life of an office worker. We see him smiling, looking happy as he tells himself that "I'm good, I'm great," but everyone he is interacting with just keeps nodding along until their heads fall off, representing how they are not really being fully engaged in the conversation or whatever task they are trying to complete, etc. Day in and day out life is always the same, we just keep going through our tasks, trying to get ahead, with little to no recognition from anyone except ourselves. Which is why we see in the choreography that he pats himself on the head, because the only encouragement he gets is from himself. The cute fuzzy red, pink, purple and blue monsters you see in the MV, which are called BOK-SILLee, have sort of become Key's mascot, ever since they were first introduced as part of his Gasoline album merchandise and concept. (You can actually purchase those monsters as little stuffed toys.) In the end of the MV, you see Key dressed like a BOK-SILLee as he tries to break free from the boring life of the working class. From his outfits to the backup dancers looks, to the set designs and story concept, as well as the song lyrics, and the whole album was designed or chosen by him. Key is involved in the entire creative process when it comes to his solo work and everything you see and hear is what he envisioned for this entire album concept. Every aspect is all part of his design. When people say, "there is no one or nothing out there like it," they are right. Key is 100% that artist. A legend on par with Taemin's legendary concepts and styles. No wonder they are both members of SHINee. Key is our fashionista of the group, who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. He is known for really paying attention to detail when it comes to fashion. To Key, fashion is about being unique and looking for ways to stand out, without being outrageous. So, everything you see him wearing will be very trendy and fashionable. Many people in the industry look to Key when it comes to fashion trends. That's also why SM has made him its director of fashion. SHINee is also known for creating fashion trends, so designers really covet a chance to work with any of the members of SHINee -- but especially Key -- because SHINee will give them street cred and undoubtedly make them more popular. He is also regarded as SHINee's dance copy machine. Key has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He has a photographic memory when it comes to choreography, so he only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. He is an unbelievably skilled dancer, who can take any dance and make it his own. And on top of all of that, Key is SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker. He is recognized for being one of the best non-native English speakers in the Kpop industry. (In middle school he studied for a short time in Australia and New York. Plus, his grandma had an English tutor when he was growing up.) That is why his pronunciation of the English lines in his songs are so crisp and clear. As a member of SHINee -- which is one of SM Entertainment's top vocal groups, who were vocal coaches and mentors to a lot of SM trainees, including several of the EXO members -- Key's amazing vocal range and dance skills shouldn't be surprising, that's just what the members of SHINee are known for. If you were to listen to Key singing a cappella while performing this intense choreography he would sound just as flawless as in the MV. That is why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive and nobody was performing the way SHINee was doing it. When SHINee debuted in 2008, all 5 of the members were teenagers -- Key was only 16 -- and they were one of the youngest groups at the time. However, even then, they were shocking everyone with their talent. SHINee was the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing intense choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee was the group that changed the industry and proved that if you wanted to compete you needed to up your game. SHINee are always on another level and they are constantly outdoing themselves with every new project. It amazes me that after more than 15 years SHINee can still continue to reinvent the Kpop industry with every new release, whether it's as a group project or one of the member's solos, and yet they do it every time without fail. Key is not only an amazing singer, dancer, and rapper, he is also a fashion designer, and a certified chef Key and Taemin are in SHINee along with Onew, Minho and Jonghyun. All of SHINee members are phenomenal soloists. I highly recommend checking out more of Key’s solo works as he is absolutely a creative genius. Putting in his own $ to bring his visions to life. I recommend Bad Love, and Villan, if you like retro throwbacks Jonghyun’s vocals are some of the best if not THE best in the industry His live Crazy performance is 🔥 Also Jonghyun is the first artist from SM to fully write and produce his own album. I literally JUST commented a reply to someone on your Taemin “ADVICE” video that I was hoping you’d react to this and more from Key. Knowing how much you love retro sounds, he’s right up your alley! Key really is a class of his own…dare I say, it’s of a SHINee caliber (yes, he’s a member of the legendary Princes of KPOP along with Taemin). The entire album is phenomenal with his incomparable retro flare. No one does retro as well as Kibum and SHINee. No one. (Please remember these are my opinions and yours may differ-I respect that. Please respect mine.) Anyhoo… the album is full of groovy, spacey, house sounds with lovely synths and dance flows. The vocals and raps are, as expected from anyone of SHINee, top tier. I cannot wait for the choreo to these songs!!! I honestly wish we could get MVs for each one because they’re all dynamic…I love how Kibummie not only puts out great music, but pairs it with great stories, as well. Each of the songs is strong enough to be a title track, in my opinion, but GOOD & GREAT really does set the mood and was the perfect choice among them to represent the album. Just another day in Keyland with the G.O.A.T!!! Now, for some info on our very own Captain Freak: Key (Kim Kibum - 23 Sep 1991), Vocalist, Dancer, Rapper, Fashion Designer. Shawol Fandom Name-Lockets (he’s our Key). Kibum also calls us Lil Freaks (inspired by Lady Gaga’s lil monsters…he’s our Captain Freak). Key’s monicker is “Almighty Master Key” and he’s certainly earned that title from the very beginning. He was the ONLY applicant chosen of the 8000 that auditioned the day he was signed with SM Entertainment. He started in SHINee as Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer, and Sub-Vocalist (but those titles didn’t last long for any of the SHINee members as they’re all all-rounders-sounds familiar…Stray Kids, perhaps?). I'm sure by now you know that Taemin and Key are members of Shinee, as well as Choi Min-Ho and Onew (he has that killer woice you liked in "HARD"... SHINEE debuted in 2008. Shinee is considered "The Princes of K-pop" for their perfect harmonies, classy dance moves, and trend-setting fashion. The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, main vocalist Jonghyun passed away suddenly in December 2017.
