Left this game as soon as they implemented the "module system". Loved ship customization and they are killing it.

I know a lot of people that feel the same way. For me it is was when they decided they just wanted it to be a PvP game, and that solo / small company's would be there to assist larger company's. I decided to keep covering the game, and I'll still play the single player every now and then, but it is disappointing.

There really wasnt much customization to begin with. When the meta for the longest time was barrel bomb schooners nobody really makes much else.

@@zonatedmarz i mean if youre talking pvp yeah ofc but you still had the OPTION to customize a ship though in pvp youre not gonna sit there for 5 hours building a gorgeous ship in pvp, in pve thats a different story though

Pretty much a new development team and changed focus to a pure PvP game. Most of it happened in the last 6 months.

How fast is the Magestic Kraken in comparison with a schooner? I was hoping that it would be faster as it can have 2 large speed sails. Is it the fastest modular ship?

I remember BLUF Gaming doing a video on testing for the fastest ship in Atlas, I think he was able to set the wind strength and direction and time it over a measured distance.

I have ran into a weird bug with the turtle ship ware the gun ports got stuck open but the cannons would not fire, even when manually useing a cannon in the ship it still would not fire?. I have sense moved all the crew on board to other boats but was kinda sad because during the short few days it was working normally I was able to tank 5 ships of the dammed at once and sail away with less then 1/4 of the outer armor takin down.

can re anchor a ship in the shipyard? i only now noticed that your modular ship needs to anchored in a shipyard in order to place modules... at that point my ship was already out of the shipyard

Yep, you can reverse a ship slowly back into the shipyard. Then anchor and make changes

But can you still build the old ships and costomise then the way you want with walls and everything?

Yes, the old ships are still in the game

What admin commands do you use to spawn in the new module items in SP ?

I don't know them well, there's quite a lot of variant's because of the kraken, turtle and normal types. I just spawn in a few thousand materials and make them in the smithy.

Hello. Where you found the galley and can we add more armor on the modular ships?

At the time I made this you could just build them in the advanced shipyard. But they’ve changed it quite a bit. Modular ships should drop as blueprints from sunken wrecks or the kraken boss fight. I’m not sure if the modular parts drop as blueprints yet.

@@Skarvig finally I have found a bp of ship it is green one. Could you advise why when I caraft if in is a grey one as a regular one and now like crafted bu green bp? Other way to say, how to craft green or blue ships from green and blue bp?

@@irakliin I haven't played in a while but in the old days confusion surrounding BPs usually had to do with the materials. For example, if the green BP says something like 15 X 2 wood and the Blue BP 15 X 3 wood, it means that you need multiple different types of wood, 15 of each, to meet that wood requirement. This was to encourage people to set up trade networks or to travel all over the map rather than camp out on one island if they wanted to craft better quality items.

How do you build these things at the ship yard? I cant find an option to build the ships

You need the advanced ship yard. It only builds the modular ships. You will also need to collect the special resources for each.

Can you attach this to all ships or just select ones?

The modules can be attached to any modular ship, but at this stage the railing attachments need the correct variant. Kraken or Regular railings.

@@FaithieBee No, that won't be possible. The legacy ships are not modular ships. Only the new ones they put in.

The new dev's created the modular ships since they say the original ones are really bad for the servers. The modular ships are currently in a bad state, but should be getting an overhaul in the next patch or so. A lot is riding on them getting it right, but it's pretty rough at the moment.
