My mom never let me speak English at home because she would always say I would loss my Spanish if I only spoke English. Now that I no longer live with her I started realizing that my Spanish is slowly fading away. So I started watching Telenovela’s and TV programs in Spanish on Netflix and it’s helped me maintain my Spanish and even expand my vocabulary. I would highly recommend to try it out !

This was everything!!! I’m half Mexican and not everyone in my household uses Spanish, so it’s true - you don’t use it, you lose it. 😞 It makes me embarrassed because others don’t view me as “Mexican enough” because I don’t speak Spanish. I understand everything, but when it comes to speaking it, I’m not as strong and get embarrassed to make a mistake, so I don’t speak it as much. So thank you for making this! We’re Latinas and Mexicanas because it’s in our fucking DNA! Doesn’t matter if you know any or no Spanish because you can’t change what’s in our blood. And I’m proud af to be Mexicana! 💕

Mexican people call mascara "Rimmel" (I heard it's called like that because of a very famous mascara brand or so) but in other countries it is called "pestañina"
