Nice demonstration! I got my Fillmore 50 a few months ago, and had the same reaction. A young woman artist whose band I was producing pre-Covid came by my studio a few weeks ago, to talk about bringing her band back in, post-Covid. I had her play her main guitar (a Gibson ES-339) through the various amps in my studio -- Fender Deluxe Reverbs, Fender Bassman, various Vox, and a couple of Marshalls. By chance, she played through the Fillmore last. She played for about 10 seconds, and said - "Holy Cow!" She bought her own Fillmore the next day.

@@vladaface1 - Hi. I use the included foot switch to go from one channel to the other. It's easy. I have a foot switch for the reverb, but I don't even attach it, as I don't use much reverb, so it's always on, and I just keep it the same for each channel. I hope this helps!

Mate you'll never get rid of this beauty,I've owned a Mesa Rectoverb 50 for over 10 years now and no other amp has the range of tone or that sweet treble tone that a Boogie gives you,these amps give such clarity of tone,if you can afford one then you'll never have to buy another amp for life.

That sounds fantastic! Cheers 🤟🏼 what other amps would you say the Mark V is like, if any?
@TheD33pthawt3 жыл бұрын
@@JamesOnGuitar The Mark V is incredibly flexible, I can pull some really nice cleans out of it and you have so many ways to get different grit. Dirt wise It'll go from tweedy to plexi to California modern. I like to use the first channel in tweed mode with the Variac power option and the channel's 10 or 45 watt setting to get some amazing blues tones, very different from the Two Rock with these settings, very squishy and really fun to play.

I first got the Fillmore 50 head and then got the Fillmore 25 when it came out. I got rid of the 50 because the 25 sounded better to me with the 6V6 tubes. Love the two separate channels, and I'm using it more as a pedal platform, because the clean setting provides so much volume. Running it through a Fillmore 2x12 with Mesa Vintage 30's, and it provides so much versatility!

Yea it's My consensus as well. I had the 50 combo with creamback speaker really Nice amo. Also had te 100 combi for a week and returned ir. Very compressed and more of a hard rock gain tone. The 25 head they a 2 12 cab with celestions i played in store a few times and it sounds sweetest. Best combo of sweet and hairy tone. Sold the 50 since i am in México the last 16 months but really want a 25. Unfortunately no mesas to be found around México...

Mine comes in two days. Brand new combo in Surf Bronco color and I picked it up for $1450. Crazy. Your video helped solidify my decision. Sounds great. I can't wait to put a compressor and a boost into it to see what kind of tones it can get. On a different comments section, I saw someone say it was more like a Vox or a Marshall than a Fender, and that doesn't appear to be the case to me, but I wouldn't mind some Vox "chime".

Hi James - just discovered your channel and new sub! Great demos and reviews! I’m in the market for a new amp for home use only. Looking for cleans - Princeton style through to edge of break up for blues and leads. Was looking at Princeton’s. Then Tone King Imperial MKii. Have now come across the Fillmore 25 in a combo. Any recommendations? Imperial with the attenuator sounded good for home use. Master volume work for reasonable volume at home on the Fillmore ? Can’t try any out - relying on YT reviews and demos. Be grateful for any guidance!

Cheers, yeah it is fantastic! The tweed has power scaling and is firmly tweed in sound. I probably will get one now that i have felt the quality of tone from this. The fillmore is more versatile - a bit blackface, a bit tweedy, a bit dumbly and a bit sort of pushed super reverb in its overdrive i feel like. The tweed is, i think, the best boutique take on tweed that i’ve seen, but the fillmore probably suits more different styles of playing. Just my 2cents, cheers 👍🏼
