This game is so much fun. Also, there are already community mods on Nexus for QoL and changes to the art for those that feel it is a bit... over-the-top. I also recommend changing day length to the longest setting for the most cozy experience.

I've been doing 30 minutes so far! I feel like that's just right for me. 20 was way too short and 40 is a big time commitment, but it would be neat to have more time in the day!

I've been totally obsessed with this game since 1.0 was released! It definitely still has some kinks that need to be worked out but I'm really glad to see more people playing it. Looking forward to more videos if you decide to keep going! It probably depends on your preferences and play style, but I've found the fireball spell to be incredibly helpful for taking out most enemies in 1-2 hits while staying at a safe distance. Might be worth giving it another try!

This is a great video! The first few days are a bit overwhelming and once you get to nelvari I feel like you get that same overwhelming feeling as you’re trying to balance from being in sun haven and nelvari at the same time. Like I gotta stock up on my berries cause I make multiple trips. The game feels very run around with the quest in a quest in a quest that sometimes feel very tiring. Especially trying to get to nelvari where you have to ask permission to read a book and then you have to go through even more steps. I like this game though since you can take your time doing things and progressing through the story at your own pace. Cant wait to see more sun haven if you do play more!

This game is basically Stardew crossed with Terraria. So many crafts, seeds, chests, inventory management. That being said, I do get to play as a cute little demon that is trying to build her own cult (by befriending everyone and generally being well liked that everyone wants to support her, focusing mainly on the social aspects). Spent so long farming leafies for the armour, then dumped a ton of resources into getting the spring armour for that mana regen to support my magic build. It's so easy to get lost in doing things, I kind of wonder what it would be like to min-max. Insane potential in this game, just needs a bit cleaner of an inventory management system.

Honestly the art for the female romance options and some of the dialogue for certain characters (particularly the catgirl) has been the biggest disappointment so far. I'm hoping for more depth to the characters deeper into the game but that might be too optimistic in a game where the bloody catgirl actually ends all her sentences with -nya. (A HUMAN TRANSCRIPTION OF AN ANIMAL NOISE FROM A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE. GODS WHO GREENLIT THAT.)

I don't think I've gotten quite far enough to say definitively, but I don't thin the character dialogue is super duper deep. From the characters I've talked to it seems more fluffy and superficial. The characters are kind and they do have a story, but kind of one dimensional. Like Anne is a merchant, and so far that's been her entire(!) personality. But who knows! I'm not done yet!

As someone that's beat Sun Haven, the game is so close to being great :/ Too many bugs to really be recommended, but I hope they keep fixing it and releasing content, it could easily become something special.

@@Leapalot Some of the most frustrating have been things not despawning correctly. I've had a snaccoon that even though it's been fed, will show back up to block the path, then when you the open the inventory, it'll trigger it to go away again, and then the next day it'll be back. and then don't want to get into spoilers Most of them aren't super gamebreaking, but frustrating enough that they just kinda feel meh.

In a month, you progressed way farther with ores than me in one month, but I think since I am a crossbow player, armor doesn't matter to me much. Also, I have no idea what forest you used to get to Nel'vari.. I got to Withergate which I thought was Nel'vari this whole time.. And I have no idea how you are dating everyone!! 😂😂😂 I am loyal to Wornhardt and am not even interested in anyone else. I accidentally got 2 date quests with Jun but didn't go on them. I just exited the quests out but they still counted. Definitely am not dating him though. I married Wornhardt before the end of a month. I definitely focus more on combat, farming (including farm animals), and housing upgrades. Specifically, I love baking!! Obsessed with all the cakes you can make. Also, foraging in this game is the bomb. Raspberry and Blueberry smoothies are great for mana refills and I use them all the time with the farming spells. I also do not do much fishing at all!! Lol.

Withergate is North and Nel'Vari is West! If I remember right at least. Foraging in this game is truly amazing, I agree. I love being rewarded for grabbing everything and stuffing it in my face lol.

A breakdown of seasonal events and rewards you can buy. I'd be interested in a break down of the skill trees and potential builds.

With so many characters, areas, and quests- this game seems super overwhelming. It's like it's trying to do too much, and I don't think it works well. I'm not huge on these anime-esk character designs either, which is a shame because these backgrounds are beautiful.

The first few days are super overwhelming. And when a new area opens up I feel like it's starting over again! But as I've leveled up and learned new spells and increased some stats, I do get the feeling that things slide into place. As far as the character art, I know there are already some portrait mods if that's a sticking point!

I wish I could get into Sun Haven, I really do. But the characters look dreadful. NPCs look great for the most part, the world looks good, looks like there's plenty to do, but I can't wrap my brain around how awful the player characters look. They don't animate well, they look like they're sliding around the world instead of being a part of it, and they look visually like they're from a badly made mobile phone farm game from the early to mid 10s.

Oh, the player character? That's interesting, I haven't really put a lot of thought into my own sprite I guess! I definitely get people not vibing with the art style for the marriage candidates but I don't mind those. Also! I adore the different environments a ton!

The overly-busy character design and bright colors give the game a very cheap "Free-to-play" game look. It doesn't help that they're leaning so hard into the anime-loli look as well. I'm gonna wait until some serious cosmetic mods come out before I give the game a chance.

theres like 2 mods on nexus that change the portraits, but 1 is horny, so theres 1 mod on nexus. but also another one fixing annes's sprites (not her dreadful fashion sense though) the other portrait mods pretty cute. i have a problem caring about romanceable npcs in farming sims and i think the best solution is just ignoring all of them. though the rings you get from marriage are reaaaally good. the character design put me off at first too lol
