You did a good job with what you had. You definitely got the heart for this type of work. Been in the cleaning industry for a lil over 10 years. And I can tell you it is definitely a slept on industry. I started just like you. And basically with the same carpet cleaning machine. (Not the work horse though 😂, I wasn’t that lucky) But I have a few tips that will help you with your next carpet job. First tip is get you some ammonia (Walmarts great value works well) and also get you some 20-volume clear peroxide from the beauty supply store) you’ll use the ammonia on dark stains (oil based) and the peroxide on any organic stains , blood feces, urine, etc.(and you can add peroxide to your pre-spray to brighten up lighter carpets) . And later when the business gets to picking up . Invest in an Orek orbiter . ( I believe it’s like $350 on Amazon) get the green scub brush for agitation. And get you some bonnet pads (cotton and microfiber) this will tremendously elevate your carpet cleaning in conjunction with the machine you have now. Feel free to reach out anytime. I finally got to sit down and watch this. I was amazed with the shark’s performance. You pulled so much out of the carpet with that vac alone! But when that workhorse went to work I was FLOORED! How was there still so much soil leftover?! I loved the vacuuming process

​​@@NaturalDirtQueen The fact that it's the same amperage 8 amps, (amps don't equal cleaning power) as the Bissell Powerforce and it still pulled all that mess out of the rug. I wonder if the Powerforce could do the same with slow vacuuming too...same with bagged vacuums and let the bag turn into a hard pillow. If that's what a bagless machine did after slow vacuuming, imagine what a bagged vacuum doing the same with a full bag afterwards.

valiant efforts with a non commercial shampooer.!!!! dump water was like thick oil.. just a suggestion- put some all fiber rinse in your rinse water tank to help neutralize the high ph alkaline surfactants used in the prespray. it will help neutralize the ph and wont attract soil again so quickly. great efforts!!! love workhorse!!!!
