Hey guys!
I played my first PDGA sanctioned tournament and it was a ton of fun. Well some of it. I actually struggled a lot here and there with shoulder pain and bad drives and shoulder pain. Also also, terrible putting. Maybe it was the nerves or the lack of practice. However things started to look brighter during round two. Hope you´ll enjoy the video. Do let me know what you think about the "format". Is it too self centered? A little bit?
Anyways have a great day! 🤘❤

A bit about me if you´re wondering:
I started at Latitude 64° a bit over a year ago and been trying to learn the sport of disc golf and making videos of that process from that day onwards. Before that I hadn´t even heard of disc golf. So it´s been a really great and fun experience so far (still feel I have a lot to learn, tho) watching and learning from the people around me at work and the great tips from all of you guys. Thank you for that!

Men annars kanske lite course management.

@9:59 , @13:33 These are the main differences between the first and the second round! Look at how controlled you were being with these putts, and sticking/ committing to the follow through! The first round you seemed to be jerking them a little bit, and dropping your arm as soon as you released the disc. Nice stuff, Jon-o! I'm sure we'll be seeing you on Jomez lead card coverage soon!

Really like seeing this format. Keep it up for sure ... Regarding the wet grass ... I've been searching for a pair of waterproof sneakers and have paid > $100 for 2 pairs that can, at best, be called water resistent as my feet were soaked after the front 9. I'm now trying the water repelling sprays on the "waterproof" sneakers ... Are there sneakers out there that are truly waterproof??? I don't want to wrap my feet.

Don't forget to keep a paper towel in your pocket to keep your hand dry and a towel or a few in a zip lock bag to keep it dry. Also anyway we could have a video (maybe when too cold to go out) about disc terms in sweedish? Like "good shot" or your equivalent of "nice" which here is a jinx.

I love all of the videos by Jonathan, but... even though I have made that many bad throws (and more), he seems too athletic to *actually* make that many bad throws. It's like he's playing a persona (albeit an entertaining one) as schtick. Is it for marketing for Lat64 / Westside / DD? Is it for KZbin likes (and revenue)? I'd like to know, but that would spoil the fun. He inspires all of the duffers and we'd like to hang out with him, but it seems he's not a real duffer.

Recently won my first tournament (MA2). The whole time I reminded myself I was there to have fun and to just play casually. It really helped keep me in a good mental space where I wasn't being hard on myself for mistakes, or pressuring myself to make up for them on the next hole. I took that same mentality to the next tournament... and won that one too. Don't underestimate how important the mental part of the game is. Take some pressure off of yourself and remember why you're out there: because you love the sport and have fun playing it.
