You can skip the formation lap on sprint races by just going to the escape menu, it says cancel formation lap or something like that. Also the formation lap doesn't consume fuel

manual shifting is faster than auto shifting because when it’s in auto it doesn’t fully maximize handing/control over the car. I recommend starting to use manual, it’ll feel better and will make you marginally faster. Plus it’s way more fun that way, it makes you feel like you’re actually driving the car rather that it driving itself in essence

At 7:29 Max did the burnout to help warm up his rear tires so he would have less wheel spin at the start so his tires aren’t cold.

Hey here are a few tips: Don’t use ERS during the formation lap but on the race start use it as soon as you hit 3rd gear, just to avoid wheespin. And if you want to increase the gap between you and the car behind, use ERS on the exit of corners. And most importantly congrats!

You should try starting a race on medium tires and pushing till maybe a lap or 2 after the game recommends you to pit. Then pit onto softs. I find that as a good strategy.

Activate ERS when you hit 55.9 mph so you dont spin on the start, just a little tip! Also great racing, love to see you in the podium, keep it up!

One thing I’d say you need to do is with 5-6 races left of the season start saving the R&D points for the regular change and you can save parts

Enjoying the series so far, but think you need to up some of the settings. It doesn't look like you have simulation damage or strict corner cutting on. Some of those shunts in the sprint should have surely caused more damage.

hey trev, the best way to get a good start is going into 4000 rpm and when the lights go off you have to shift 2 gears up so you wont loose traction and i wont recomend auto gearbox because it makes you slower

It makes me laugh when people think manual gears are so daunting. I remember when I switched like 5 years ago and that was on a pad. It's not as bad as it seems. Everyone looks at the number of shifts and is like wtf but really your just driving a car. Once you realize 3rd and 4th are the best for most corners you go from there

12,500 rpm is best for starts but don't activate overtake until above 4th gear it causes wheel spin and 0.2 - 0.4 laps of extra fuel is best

Trev this games over cut is very op… if you just protect the tyres on the first stint and then over cut everyone it works rlly well… in France I qualied p6 and I overcut 3 cars whilst not really pushing the car for a p2 finish 👍

For race starts I try and shoot for 9,000 rpm and draw out first gear as much as possible, then hit the ERS around 4th gear, or earlier if possible

I love Austria so much the country is amazing and the circuit is my favorite, my first ever time playing f1 me and my friend stayed up till 3 am playing f1 2020 on Austria trying to get a Red Bull 1-2 we did it and we nearly screamed it was insane
