My first Puukko

Puukko means knife in Finnish, and this is my first one of thise knifes.
It's a very very cool knife, and I hope you like it..and my video.

Carry both. Leave the Puuko in your haversack or ruck in case you want to carve or use it as a dedicated food processing knife. Or vice versa. Great video as always! Safe trip.

Nice knife..large grip, short blade, great for skinning and fileting. And a blade thick enough for carving and whittling. I lost my neck knife...believe a puuko will be my replacement.

Hello Tom, a very nice looking knife. I love the handle look and wish mine had a finger guard on it as well. I also love the coloring of the sheath, very eye catching! May I say at the beginning of the video when your new knife was driven into the stump and you placed the "thundering" sound effect...BRILLIANT! I love that style of knife! It’s very beautiful. It doesn’t bother me if it’s a hidden tang, or a rat tail. My Cold Steel Finn bear, is about as close to a Puukko style that I have.

Hi Tom a piggy back system is where you attach the smaller knife to the larger one. It is a bit like the mora knife system where they have knife sheaths clip together or you could use a para cord wrap I have done this with some of my knives and with your skills in leather work it would be so easy J
