It is kind of like junk journal. I have heard people use either term, but I have also heard that there is some difference, but I don't know what that would be since you use anything you like to put into your books.

BTW the glue book pages look fabulous!! Thank you for sharing this with us!! I used to scrapbook too back in the day. What was the name of the scrapbook company that used to have people host parties like Mary Kay, Thirty One etc? I can't remember but after my teenage years of making my own scrapbooks with photos, I evolved into that. It was late 90"s early 2000s when they were popular and expensive lol!!

This is something I have been wanting to do with my clips and ticket stubs and such items I bring back from my travels, but I always worry about the glue. Do you use archival safe glue sticks? Do those even exist?

That’s more of a scrapbooking area Tiger. They do make archival safe adhesives and papers, but the glue books are for fun and not made to preserve nice ephemera. Therefore no, what I use is just regular ole glue. 😊

@@FatBirdFindsCrafting thank you. It does get confoozing, considering they are all basically the sane, yet we give them so many different names. Gluebook, scrap book, junk journal... I just have boring old photo albums with photos. Some my mom left from the 1950s are really coo!

The purpose is purely enjoyment. It’s an amazing stress reliever in the same way as working puzzles or coloring or watching a movie. For me, it allows me to be creative despite the fact that I can’t really draw…so I don’t really get in my head about it. I love it. And you don’t know how it’s going to come out til it’s done!
