I love how she did this one, but with all the vocal fry you don't really hear how good her voice is. She has a warm, textured, full and well rounded voice, and very developed technical singing skills and breath control. She recently did a cover of Elvis Presley - Suspicious minds: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIXFfJuhmMqFZpI. It will give you an example of where her voice is today and how she often change songs when doing covers, though because she has experimented so much through the years (that sentence make it sound like she is more than 16 😀) she will continue to surprise you. @@johan.ohgren Yes indeed, she certainly growls in “I Put a Spell on You” Johan! One of the most incredible characteristics of Angelina (IMHO) is to sound sublimely BEAUTIFUL. She sings songs that reaches into the depths of human emotion. “IPASOY” is not really in that category. Make no mistake, it is definitely an incredibly energy packed “tour de force”, but”sublimely beautiful “?… not quite. There is one significant caveat to that claim I just made. The last thirteen words of “IPASOY”, sung a capella is not only a “tour de force”… a “ne plus ultra” of a capela singing… THEY… are simply beautiful. ❤️

It was the general expression when a 7-year-old girl sang 'Gloomy Sunday' at a talent show in Norway, the same expression of astonishment and disbelief when, after wowing the audience at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with her version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody', people put his name in the YT search engine and came across the most amazing music video ever (sorry Michael) performed by a 9-year-old girl, 'I put a spell on you'.

I dare you .. go watch it! the girl is more soulful than you could imagine. She does all the arrangements for her covers, by the way, and if you remember Elvis, what she did with that song is totally out there. By the way .. she has done some covers where she sounds like Billie Holiday (Gloomy Sunday was her choice to audition with for Norway's Got Talent at the age of SEVEN .. truly .. check it out! .. What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 16 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sony & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. Oh, Hobbs, you have no idea the door that you’ve opened. Is it really her voice, you ask? Yes, and no. Yes, that’s all Angelina you’re hearing, but it’s just the voice she has chosen to deliver some 60’s soul and to pay tribute to Etta. Angelina is known as the girl with a thousand voices, and you have many more to go. Angelina covers six or seven genres with ease, from ballads to blues to jazz to pop to soul. Very simply, I’m in my 70’s and have followed music since the 1950’s. Angelina is 16 now and, without any reservation, the best singer I’ve ever heard. What you heard today is spectacular, but not unusual. Pick any genre, any age, and she will rock you, starting with her cover of Billie Holiday’s I’m a Fool to Want You at age 7. You have now discovered (IMHO) the best female voice in my lifetime (& I'm 72 :). Mind blown like all of us! Next you should watch the black and white version of "I put a spell on you" which she recorded at the age of 9, yes NINE!! After that you will never doubt again! If you like jazz you should listen to her in-studio rehearsal of "I'm a fool to want you" (she was 11). Here she sing this Sinatra classic like Billie Holiday. You should also check out her original called "Shield" The live version. She as more than 170 video on YT and they are all worth a listen. This girl is a prodigy that will mature to become one of the greatest singer ever.
