before anyone starts thinking i only own two shirts: I intentionally selected that shirt for my first ever dream reaction, because out of my closet it's what represents my blind expectations of what nct dream might be the best - and since it was so wrong last time, I thought I'd wear it again for this one to hopefully fit the vibes✨ this was exactly the youthful & playful style I expected - shameless throwback to when I guessed the subunit names in my first ever nct reaction and guessed them to be "nct baby" 😭

Well they are actually babies. Hiding is just 14 years old but fans saw him training since before in SM Rockies since he was 8 years old.

Actually, when I saw this MV I was hesitant to stan this group because they are just the same age as me, and at that time I also see them much younger than me in this era because of their outfit and hairstyle.

yeah, they really seemed to make an effort to style them very young in these videos in particular! I think it‘s the short pants especially - I only see them on kids below 12 or full on adults in their freetime, no inbetween 😂

I guess they had to do this because 5/7 members were literally on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse months before debut lol! If they were to perform an old song of theirs, they would most likely perform My First and Last, which is an NCT unit's first win on a music show. I doubt it though 😭 How I wish to see that ughhhh. You should actually check that out! Excellent song, insane choreo 🔥 Definitely a fan favorite. And they were 15-18 at the time!! It's not bubblegum like Chewing Gum, but lighthearted enough considering their age at the time of release too. The MV was so dang funny 🤣🍭

nct dream actually once had a graduation system where once reaching a certain age, they'd leave the group! that's why in 2019-2020, mark would not be present in the unit as he graduated late 2018. he then officially came back to the unit in 2020 and participated in cbs in 2021 after fans have been constantly begging sm to bring him back and to stop the graduation system. the graduation system was so harmful to not only the fans but the members as well :((

Facts: Haechan, Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung were trainees for 3 years, entered SM in 2013 and became the youngest trainees at that time. Renjun trainee only 1 year. Chenle trainee only 2 months, Chenle entered SM in March 2016 and debuted in August 2016 NCT DREAM should have debuted first than NCT U and NCT 127, but canceled because Mr. Lee Soo Man wanted NCT DREAM's debut to be more iconic with the addition of hoverboard dance so DREAM's debut was postponed 1 month because I have to learn hoverboard and reshoot MV. So the whole preparation for NCT Dream's debut is only 3 months

Sm was quite smart for making them look even more younger than their age and not giving them a mature concept, tho it made fans think twice into stanning nct dream bec they look so young, it actually prevent fans from sexualizing these young idols. I just wanna say I totally get people not loving 'Chewing Gum', this song can be really A LOT. Even though now I'm much more into 'The 7th Sense' and 'Fire Truck' for NCT's debuts, when SM was debuting the units and THIS came out, the 12 years old me went crazy lol I was at the target public age and SM did a great job because little me kept singing and annoying everyone around with 'chew-chew-chew-chew-chewing gum' 🤡 Anyways, 6 years later, I'm here still loving NCT, NCT Dream, Chewing Gum and now your reactions too💚

I mean, if they just released a comeback album...wouldn't they be focusing on songs from there, more so than the others? I would think since it's a festival type thing, they wouldn't have a lot of time to go back to songs that long ago unless it was a mega-hit. But, maybe they do things differently now a days though ..what do I know...lol 😅 As far as this song/MV goes, I agree, not quite my cup of tea either. I think their style of songs (not all of them), matured as they started maturing. Young guys can change a lot in 5 years. They still look young now (and still are young), but yeah, they looked like baby babies back then. 😄

Each group has roughly around 30-35 minutes to perform from what I heard (5 hours festival time / 7 performers - 5-10 minutes for set changes and ments per group) , and they‘re expected to do 2-3 recent songs and likely their most well known songs apart from that, due to the fact that only a very small part of the audience will be fans of each given group and most will only know the rest very casually if at all~ the setlist is a secret of course, but most people are expecting the most recent title tracks and maybe one or two promoted b-sides, and apart from that that they‘d go with their most recognizable songs or biggest hits 👀 I personally wouldn’t pick this one in particularly either, given that it‘s really old and not the typical hype song that‘s guaranteed to work on a casual audience, but it’s their debut song and 6th for dream in MV views, so it‘s a possibility for sure~ also as it was most recommended to check out due to the „dream vibes“, I thought I should definitely watch it before getting deeper into them✨

Hi Landy! YT thought I would like this video and I can't disagree! I just watched all of your NCT reaction videos. I don't mind all the pausing. It lets you express whatever thought or emotion you have and as a fan of a group I prefer it. It's sad to watch a reaction and the reactor starts talking and ends up missing something really cool.
