Munchie's Place

Күн бұрын

Today i'm looking at the many neglected souls off of Craigslist and Classified ads for pets for sale or rehome. Some ads usually have signs of neglect or abuse and it's sad to see so many animals being housed in poor conditions, dogs who have a severe matting issue and many other sketchy pet posts. Please always do your research before buying a pet and ask yourself if you have the time and money to have one first. The excuse of "I don't have time anymore" is not a valid answer, so don't make the bad call and get a pet just to rehome it several months later. The ads you're about to see may shock you or worst yet, lose faith in humanity. Be advised you may get angry or emotionally compromised when watching if you're an animal person.

A pet store here has raised the prices for pets A LOT. BUT you get most necessities with them except for the cage or something. This is mainly to stop impulse buying and you also have to answer a bunch of questions and for quinea pigs they have you come back for a check up. They also call like 2 weeks or a month later to see how the animal is doing.

Petshops don't tell them unfortunately or they don't want to listen and think they know better. I wish our petcare was updated in stores but it's not. :( And people get the impression when seeing them in tiny glass tanks, that this is a perfect size which it's not. I get asked that a lot at my petstore. "OH well you house them in there" "They're display tanks mam, a display of the hamsters for viewing. It's what the company wants but this is what i'm telling you they need".

I currently own my second hamster and she grew bigger than we expected. The hamster I had before was super tiny and the new one (also a dwarf species as far as we know.. at least it's what the seller told us😬), is just.. bigger than my old hamster already.. but we will be rehousing her into my bigger cage as soon as we can. (Also I don't know how old she exactly is) This is literally the second problem I ever had with a hamster. Stanford, my first one was I'll ONE time because he had sand in his eye. (There was sand in his cage for quite a while so it was more of a coincident/accident(?)) We put the sand out and got treatment for him, done. He lived for around 3 years or longer. The hamster owning 101 is literally "get a big enough cage, and dont put shit in there that could kill them. Make sure they eat and drink well and have enough toys for stimulation big enough wheel. Save Wood stuff for chewing and maybe a big rock for their claws or sth." That's it more or less. I don't understand how people can be too dumb to research.

When my dad cleaned the tank (large tank, well taken care of and large enough for my hammi to dig and play), i let my Robo Dwarf run around in his ball. It was the closest thing to letting him explore on his own. We have a small dog, but he is really curious and a poodle mix, so he is too energetic and could hurt my lil hammie if he got to close, so the ball was like a shield for him. He was allowed to explore our open furnished basement while my dad cleaned the cage, but i always kept my eye on him just in case

I had to retired from dog grooming because I developed allergies, but we once did a dog someone brought in that they'd found loose at a construction site, it was a little American Eskimo, the dog's coat was shaved off, and it came off IN ONE PIECE, that's how matted this poor baby was, and he had open sores from the matting pulling. The people who found him ended up keeping him and became regular customers and spoiled the dog completely, he was such a sweet doggie

Thank you for sharing what's on your mind. I usually have to speculate with what the ad is saying so i don't 100% know the true story and everything is based off of what words or sentences they're using in the ad. That's in due part to past experience and the experience of me working at a petstore & selling these guys to families. With Stella's case, it screams impulse to me from the amount of returns we get in part due to them losing interest or not wanting to pay for it past a couple of months. We just had today for example a small girl and her mother return our 10 week old Long haired female hamster because the mother wasn't fully on board with the idea of getting a big cage. She wanted small and cheap but the child was going to go ahead and buy the prevue cage off of amazon i showed her and everything was going well. But the mother didn't know what she was getting into and returned her daughters hamster today and it just broke my heart. The daughter was very knowledgeable but in this case the mom just didn't like the idea of the pet and its needs so it was returned. If more research was done or if her daughter could have told her more info ahead of time, this return would not be happening. I gave them all the knowledge when i went to sell them the hamster, so there was nothing being missed but i wasn't getting a good vibe from the mom. So it's a good call they returned her to us. But this happens almost bi weekly or monthly & it's a lot more stressful to move around a hamster than one can realize. So this is where i was coming from with how i saw the listing. The other thought that popped into my head about this specific ad was a pet flipper but it wasn't very likely in part due to wording but pet flippers turn around pets quickly to make a profit. A free hamster on CL can mean you get 50 dollars out of it if someone falls for your ad. But i've only ever dealt with 1 flipper personally and have seen probably 15 flipper's ads thanks to my network or rehomed groups i'm in. And then of course there is the thought about "potential move" tho most of the time people say they're moving in their rehomed listing. But it's all about wording and just seeing a pattern over and over again that makes you lean towards one way rather than the other. I'm on CL constantly looking for in need pets to foster. Molly my current girl came from a sudden move and explained to me how sudden it was. So i took her in due to an ASAP rehome. So it does happen and it could be that reason too for this lister. We may never truly know. :)

Note: This is a reaction video. In reaction videos there will be different opinions with different reactions than your own. I welcome anyone who has a different opinion/reaction if you respect my own. In videos such as these, some ads will be speculated. Meaning I could think this is the reason why, even if it's not. No one's full name is being thrown under the bus, no one is being harassed about their ads. The focus is on the "Ads" itself and not the people creating them. This is also not an educational video. This video is reaction based to bring awareness to rehomed pets online. There could be 1000's of reasons why someone is rehoming their pet, but that's where speculation comes into place since we may never know the true story. I speculate reasons due to past experiences with dealing with rescuing and rehomes. (Side note: IF you're unfamiliar with my channel, i rescue and foster Cats & small animals). Thank your for reading this before leaving a comment. I appreciate it. :) Common Questions Made Against videos such as these: - Why are you talking about this instead of doing something? I'm a Rescue/Foster Home if you're new to my Channel. I rescue hamsters and cats off of CL often. What are you doing about your local CL Ads or Shelters? Can you be doing something to help them? - Why show animal neglect? I'm spreading awareness and encouraging people to adopt, not shop & to encourage people to do their research first. Many ads you may see are people not doing their research or caring enough before rehoming the animal which can appear to be in poor conditions. Just like how Veterinarians show on their FB page why it's important to spay their cats/dogs to avoid a painful uterus disease that can kill their pets, it's the same thing with these videos where i show pictures. It's Awareness. IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE, how is anything going to change the practices of which humans keep making? If we keep making mistakes, how are we going to change this? How will people know? We share BECAUSE WE CARE! And i care a great deal to pass down wisdom and knowledge to my younger generations so they don't make these same mistakes! PS: After this video was edited and filmed & then posted including my 2nd video, i realized i had a brain fart. There are smaller versions of labdoodles. I was thinking of another similar breed of dog. I apologize and have since tried correcting myself but the point is still there, why give up a big dog if you knew what you were getting yourself into with its coat needs even if you didn't realize how big it was going to get? The owners still didn't believe in shaving the dog till a riot was formed on their post. It's still a very needy dog. But anyways, I realize i'll still be told this info as long as the video remains up so this is just for anyone who's wondering this.

Lol anyone can have a opinion, just not people posting, just saying, she’s volunteering, helping animals in need that can’t help themselves, so as many vet staff or rescuers she may just get triggered easily, reacting due to the amount of instances that she’s experienced these type of things. Let her have her reaction video, she’s just letting off steam...I guess we all have had moments that made us react to situations that we didn’t care for less than perfectly....idk but just saying. 😕 judgement goes both ways

A few years ago I got a yorkie poo on Craigslist. The people said they bought it for their daughter. The dog was 6 months old. They said they just went into their daughters room and saw it wasn't being taken care of. Okay so I get home with the dog. I go to give her a bath and I decide to brush her out before the bath. And omg the poor dog was matted so badly. I go get my clippers. I'm shaving her down and the mats are soaked in urine and feces. And they have worms inside of them!! As well as countless fleas and flea debris. It's so bad my clippers could not even get through most of them. So I called a few grooming salons informed them of the worms and huge amount of fleas and got turned down by two and one got me in that same afternoon thank God. So fast forward that night I'm feeding her and she has major food aggression. Like the worst I've ever seen for a puppy. She is extremely neurotic. She doesn't have the muscle tone in her legs that she should. She is aggressive with my other dog and my mom's dogs. Very fearful. Scared of being outside. So I message these people back. They told me they felt so bad. Their daughter loved her when they first got her. They were both at work All the time and had no idea that after the first two months their daughter never took her out of the small kennel. How the hell can this happen was my first thought. How do you have a puppy in your house and you never bother to look for it. You really expect a child to be able to care for a dog completely? I don't understand why parents will buy a child any kind of a animal and expect that child to be able to be sole care taker. Then get shocked when that doesn't happen. Needless to say I did not have the ability to rehabilite that dog myself. I tried my best but after getting bit three times and the last time having to go to the doctor I had to realize I might know a lot about dogs and behavior and whatnot but I do not have the know how to help this dog. I gave her to a poodle rescue where she could be fostered and have someone who is more educated in this area work with her. This is what happens when you buy your kid a puppy and you never check in on it. You expect your child to care for a living thing on their own when they cannot even take care of themselves on their own. The puppy or other animal is adorable when it's a baby. Then a month or two later when it's not that small cutesy little thing and starts getting to the awkward phase or just isn't small and baby like it's not cute anymore and they lose interest.
@lacey1010

Also I should add that the dog wasn't UTD on it's shots either. I had to get them done when I got her spayed. The parents got her from a breeder. I messaged that breeder and she was one of her puppies and was honestly in utter shock when I sent her the pictures of the worms, urine and feces in the mats and the videos of how horribly fearful and aggressive this poor dog ended up. They paid $750 for this puppy. I'm not against responsible breeders or buying from responsible breeders I hope I don't get hate on for that. But your paying that much for a puppy for your kid and can't even bother to finish it's puppy shots! You don't even bother to make sure it's being taken care of? You don't see the puppy for months and don't question it?!? WTF?!?!
@lacey1010
@lacey1010 6 жыл бұрын
Also I think this ties in with impulse buying as well. I did so much research before I got my dog. My dog is from a responsible breeder they do not breed but once every one or two years. Their three dogs are treated like family. All are vet tested for genetic issues. The female and male are taken to the vet before breeding and the female is taken to the vet during and right after the pregnancy and pups are taken three times. I payed $650 for her. I don't regret a single penny though I have become more of a advocate for shelter dogs and whenever I get another dog will be going to a rescue or a shelter due to where I live now having so many homeless pets and only kill shelter. My dog was very thought out. I spent maybe a year trying to think about everything I met many many different dogs puppies and adults in the shelter, from breeders, and from people on Craigslist. I wanted the right fit. I turned down all of them until I found my dog I have now. She is three years old and spoiled rotten. A lot of people don't look for the right fit. They go out and get the first dog or puppy or other animal they see. My mother went out and got a Australian Shepherd. I told her over and over that she was not the right home for that breed. We dont really have a good relatives or a relationship at all so I didnt expect her to listen to me. They need a purpose they need a lot of exercise. They need a active person or family. Didn't listen to me. He was rehome a year and a half later cause she couldn't deal with him. He was cooped up in their house 24/7 had no training barely any attention. So naturally he started having behavior problems. My point is it's important to research like hell before you bring any animal home. It's important to make sure you have the finances to take care of this animal and provide the best care for it. Maybe you can't afford to have a big dog. I know I can't right now. My dog is 5lbs and I can afford to give her high quality dry kibble and a high quality wet good and safe chew bones and good quality treats. I can afford the trifexis. All of which I couldn't provide a medium or big sized dog. Impulse buying a animal never goes well.

Sounds like you are a very responsible person. Breeders are fine in my book as long as someone does their own research. I'd still advocate for adoption since i want to get a homeless animal into a home and not from a breeder who produces one on purpose cause like you already know, people like the family you rescued that dog from just go to breeders and pick up a cute dog and do no such research for it to be later dumped and in pretty bad shape. You did the right thing by giving it to a rescue who specializes in them and have the right type of people to foster and change that dogs behavior. You helped save an animals life and i really appreciate you sharing this story with us today. So thank you. You have a big heart. :)

My mom got a kitten when my fiancée did because my little sister wanted a cute cuddly kitten. She cares about animals, but in the end they did not put in any effort. The kitten was feral(he had been trapped by the rescue a few days before she got him), so he hid under the bed for weeks. He also had widespread infections including respiratory, eye, and ear. I ended up taking him in and although it’s been months without a diagnosis, the only problem he has now is his eye❤️ I wish people would understand that taking in animals with problems is a big responsibility. I also wish that parents understood that if a child doesn’t show interest in caring, then the parent has to. He is thriving now and is very sociable with me.

Reagan F even if this was not an impulse buy or a flipper trying to make profit (cause I could have listed multiple reasons why) but the fact is there are pets on CL needing homes because of abandonment and videos such as these can help change someone's mind on resuing these guys. I'll still be salty af about why people have pets for a month or two then leave them, but as someone who works in a pet store this is the #1 reason why they are returned 1-3 months later. Impulse buying and getting bored or not knowing what they were getting into.

What’s sad is there are people who don’t even bother to rehome their pets if they don’t want them, so instead they literally kill them. Someone in my class at school had a Syrian hamster and he got bored of it, so decided to *starve it to death* while he went on holiday. He even said that he purposely emptied out it’s food and water so it definitely would die!! PLEASE PEOPLE!! Don’t kill your pet if you’re bored with it! Rehome it, or surrender it! Even though rehoming your pet may hurt your pride a bit, it’s infinitely better than releasing it or killing it! Releasing a hamster or guinea pig would be sentencing it to death, as it would die of the cold or be snatched up by a predator within a few hours. It makes me really sad when I hear people doing this to their pets. Thank you Munchie for everything you do for your foster hamsters, you’re giving them a second chance and helping to rehome them, and you really inspire me!

As a dog groomer, we see more dogs with matted coats than dogs that have actually been brushed correctly. We see a lot of dogs where the owners have tried to brush their dog but have only brushed the top of the coat, leaving brushed hair ontop of matted hair. When brushing a dogt, it's important to make sure you part the fur and brush from the skin. Points of common matting inclide: Underside, armpits, tails, ears/behind the ears and the face on bearded dogs. Honestly, being a dog groomer can be really upsetting most days because we see more unbrushed/matted dogs than we do dogs that have actually been brushed. This has become more of an issue since the rise in the number of Doodles. Also Doodles are prone to skin conditions and allergies (just like poodles), so it makes it twice as important that they are brushed because the skin under the knotts can easily become irritated.

Even if you take your labradoodle (or other breed prone to matting) to a groomer regularly, you still need to brush it daily yourself in between professional grooming sessions... Speak to any groomer and they will tell you one of the biggest annoyances they have is that the same dogs come in again and again in a gross matted state, every single time, after they put in the effort to make their coats perfect, the owners just leave it to matt again! If you don't know what brushes to use or how to properly brush them out then ask the groomer to show you, I'm sure they would be more than happy to
@MunchiesPlace
@MunchiesPlace 6 жыл бұрын
To add to this: usually if they're beyond matted, the groomer has no choice but to shave it off to prevent the dog from suffering with a brush. I've seen this first hand and pet parents think this is ok when it's hard on the dog and it's hard on the groomer to try to detangle the matted fur. :'(

I find it gross when people trade animals that aren’t the same, like gecko trading is one thing to get the babies, but a kitten for “free” hamster? And free small animals scream snake food, abuse, and impulse buy for whoever will purchase this creature, disgusting. DO NOT IMPULSE BUY. DO RESEARCH! I get so mad when people impulse buy sugar gliders and end up confused when their baby stops eating and dies. Always do research before purchasing an animal. I did about 6 months of research before getting my gliders.

Been binge watching your videos and found myself on this one haha I actually used to live at JBLM (it's a joint military base in washington) and we found an abandoned russian dwarf hamster in the bushes in front of our house. It was the middle of winter, snow and all. So we took her inside and put her in a cardboard box with a towel just so we could run out and buy a cage and all the supplies. After keeping her for a few days, we found out that she was completely deaf and blind in one eye. I'm guessing her last owners abandoned her because she had these issues. But we nursed her back to health and she lived with us for a couple years before passing away of old age. Handling her was a bit tricky because you'd have to pick her up on her good side, but she was very calm as long as she could see who was picking her up. Zhu was a complete sweetheart, and i honestly couldnt believe that someone would throw her out in the cold, just because she was disabled. Some people should really never have pets. Or kids for that matter if they can't even handle a hamster.

Kudos to that person for taking in that abandoned hamster. It's so true about people abandoning animals. I found an abandoned 1 eyed dog, who was fixed and trained, outside my house, and searched all over for his owner. During this time, i discovered that this happens so much around here, people even seeing someone drive their van down their road, throwing 2 dogs out, and driving away. It makes me sick... but in this evil, something good happened, and me and my baby boy, Gatsby, are happy together.

I have a story that was when i was 11, im now 12. Ok so, I had 2 feeder mice in a 20 gallon tank. 1 male, 1 female. I was breeding them for my snake. I would take them outside with me sometimes and the little kids would want to hold them. So I would day yes. This one girl named Chloe would always pick them up by there tail. I would tell her not to do that. A week after I got them she came outside with a carrying cage (if that's what's it called). She asked if she can have my mice! I was like "bruh, I'm not gonna have my mice in a carrying cage. And I'm not giveing them away. I have them for a reason". She was mad at me just because I didn't want my mice being neglected. She had 5 dogs, 3 cats, a parakeet, fish in bowls, and a lizard. We lived in a apartment complex. And her family was dirty and messy. My mom, brother, and I move a few weeks later. But be for we go this little girl comes running with her carrying cage. With 2 mice in it. There was a food and water bowl. With a few pieces of bedding.the mice were wet and miserable I asked her some questions. My last question was if I can have the mice, She said yes. So I took her mice and cleaned them up. I wish people like her and her family knew how to take care of animals.

My sister has a friend who is a HUGE impulse buyer when it comes to pets. Like it's bad 0_0. Basically she'll want an animal and then buy it only to get bored and either lock it outside or start saying it has medical problems to try and get it put down. She has 5 rats, a hamster (wont interact with her cause shes "mean"), 2 crested geckos, a pig, now 3 dogs cause she adopted a new one, a skink, lots of fish, and lastly 3 cats. She keeps trying to pawn the animals off to my family because we have acres of land for our animals. She recently tried to give us the pig (which we told her not to buy in the first place) and my mom had to tell her that if she gives it to us it becomes bacon just to get her to leave us alone. Her home and backyard is not big enough for all those animals and it kills me to go over there because I just wanna take them all home -_- #STOPimpulsebuyingpets

I work at PetSmart, and I always try to push the fact that caring for any animals will require some time out of your day to make sure you’re giving the care the animal will need. I will always encourage those new pet parents to return the animal to the store if it doesn’t end up working. Most of the time, I will tell people to check out our local rescue shelter and adopt an animal from there. I have turned away many sales just because I felt that they wouldn’t care for the animal property.

I’m really upset about how uneducated this world is about animals and I’m so glad that people like you are working everyday to educate people. There is a hamster in my agriculture class that is currently living in a small critter trail with only one attachment, and it’s a Syrian. It upsets me and I want to say something but no one takes me seriously considering I am a child. I tried explaining that it’s animal abuse to my parents and I think they are starting to get it. I used an analogy that it’s a lot like telling you to live in your closet your whole life. You have to eat,sleep,drink,exercise,and use the restroom all in that closet. You can’t come out unless someone lets you out and you only stay out for five to ten minutes. I think I’m working towards my parents taking me seriously and I hope situation gets better. Again thank you for working to educate people everyday here on KZbin. :)

The “no time” thing is just an excuse, i go to school and work 7 hour shifts every weekend and once a weekday, and i ALWAYS find the time to give time, care and love to my pets. Their cages are appropriately sized and they get out in a safe environment when I’m there. “No time” with these people tends to correlate with “i don’t want to put the effort into this living creature” if you don’t have time for it, dont buy it. This is key in an impulse buy- people dont think what effect it can have in your life

Wow! What a video! I subscribed! I just took in a kitten from a post I saw on craigslist or kijiji I don't remember, was looking for things for my 11 month old cat, when a new post was put up about kittens needing a home because owners young cat had kittens and he couldn't afford them. I asked if the kitten was off of her mothers milk and if she eats wet food and he assured me that yes she did. When I went to go and pick her up, she was WAY smaller than I anticipated and after a stressful 12 + hours up all night trying to get the kitten to eat, I did my own research and compared her size to photos on google and came to the conclusion that the guy had straight up LIED. She didn't eat wet food or drink water, was barely 4 weeks it looked like, I've been bottle feeding her for the past 2 weeks and she has only just learned to pee by herself. She recognizes me as mommy now and my other cat has been keeping a good eye on her and teaching her to clean herself. But I was so mad, I texted the guy saying what I had gone through and to keep any other kitten he has for a few more weeks to be with their mother, and he never texted me back. I love my kitten but a lot of people would not be ready to go through the commitment and responsibilty I have just gone through when they expect to be picking up a litter trained kitten who eats and drinks by themselves. Your channel is amaing im about to binge watch this series.

Thank you for saving that kitten. Who knows what that guy was thinking. Maybe he wanted a quick buck, maybe he couldn't afford to care for them and tried to get rid of them asap. To think a spay over here where i live is as cheap as 40 dollars, you could prevent a life time of litters with just one spay. 40 dollars is usually a bag of the biggest cat food. To think that if anyone would continue to allow a cat to get knocked up, that's 100's of dollars gone from getting kitten supplies let alone putting so much stress on the mother cat...I don't know what people are thinking sometimes unless he's trying to make money off of a living thing. :(

@RebeccaGomezToronto 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the reply!! I was so mad at that guy! I totally agree, here in Toronto you can go to the humane society and they will spay for like $60 (I think that comes with a check up too if they're young) and it would save so many kitties!
@MunchiesPlace
@MunchiesPlace 6 жыл бұрын
The humane society usually have grants that will allow them to spay/neuter for a low cost. This year the Seattle Humane Society is doing low cost spays due to a very big grant they received last year. I think the spay is 20 and the neuter for cats is 15. So that's far lower than anything i've done and all is based off of low income.

I've had an experience with rehoming a pet because "I didn't know what I was getting into". I was 12 and wanted a cockatiel (I did alright research wise) and one day my mom brought home a canary in a travel cage. I got her a larger cage (still wasn't big enough) and my dad GOT ME A SECOND ONE BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BREED THEM. I decided to spare the two by giving them to a canary rescue since they were very poorly taken care of because my parents left a 12 year old with poor mental health to take care of two birds he had done no research on. They have a good home now but don't impulse buy your kids pets

Just came across this video. Love your content so far and how informative it is! There are actually such things as “mini labradoodle and goldendoodle” dogs. I worked at a grooming salon and these “breeds” were a common thing. They usually are still medium sized dogs (around the size of a cocker spaniel or a large beagle. Not exactly a “mini” sized dog) and weigh around 40 pounds. Don’t know if it’s line breeding or what, I know most of the ones that came in were pretty much poodles with a tiny amount of lab or golden in there. Doesn’t matter how big the dog is. These curly coated dogs are so much work. Pretty much all the ones I saw ended up getting shaved to avoid the brushing, except for the doodle heads people still couldn’t manage to brush. I wish people did their research before buying. A short coated dog is much better for a busy lifestyle...

I've since included this info in my pinned post about the doodle part. But yes i made a mistake and for some reason had in mind another breed of dog till i reminded myself that my customers have mini's. Total goof on my part.

In regards to cotton in cages for rodents, I completely agree with munchies opinion and just want to add that although the hamster isn't currently interested in them, that doesn't mean it won't become interested in them at some point. For example I have a Syrian hamster that likes to be handled every night for about ten minutes. I set up activities and chew toys on the couch for her every night as well as treats from time to time. Yesterday she started to do something she never did, chew a straw looking couch cushion. I removed the cushion from the couch immediately along with the other ones because it's a safety hazard. Don't take the risk of the hamster not being interested because it could very easily be what kills your hamster.

I got two rabbits off of Craigslist at beginning of the year, and they’re some of my sweetest animals. I couldn’t even touch my boys when I first got them, and it was so sad. I actually cried when they let me pet them.

I’m now looking at myself and seeing I’m responsible compared to these people. I recently got a parakeet and have tamed him, he was watching this video with me, he was poking at you when you were yelling, he looked concerned 😂

The most disturbing part is a lot of these people are....PARENTS. They can't take care of a rodent but they are trusted with a human being? Blows my mind.

I work at a pet store, and I had a customer buy three ferrets at once. They did have the proper set up, the right lifestyle, etc., but as it turned out, they only wanted one of the three ferrets. They tried to return the other two to us within weeks of purchasing them. How people manage to impulse buy $169.99 animals, I'll never know.

Uuuugh my mom impulse buys dogs and it drives me and my sister insane. If you're going to keep an animal it's for life, think it it as your genuine child.

Anything with poodle requires a ton of grooming, unless you are a groomer and can groom it yourself , your “poodle or poodle X” needs once monthly , to be taken to a groomer. We have a rescue schnoodle from the pound. Keep in mind this is usually $60 + a month

That labradoodle lady disgusted me. If you get a dog... STICK WITH THAT DOG!!! Getting rid of it for such a superficial reason is just... Awful. I hope she didn't get another dog, from the bottom of my heart.

A while ago, my parents got me two female hamsters for Christmas without me even asking for them. They had them in a small critter trail, with terrible bedding, and a small wheel. Of course, I was surprised, and happy. But it was until they told me that it was the permanent cage. I didn’t want to argue about why the cage that they provided me was too small for two female hamsters, so I rolled with it. You see, my parents are those kind of parents where you have to buy everything with your own money unless it’s your birthday, or it’s Christmas. So, I saved up my money, and bought a large bin having 400+ square space. With right bedding, and a bigger wheel, with toys, hiders, tunnels, etc. I did this all on my own, with spending $120 dollars.
