My sister and I visited Ghana for the first time ever and it was a road trip. This is a helpful video for people who may want to visit Accra Ghana for the very first time. Don’t hesitate to leave your questions in the comment section if you have one. I’ll be more than happy to respond 😉.

I want to do the trip from Accra to Lagos, but the immigration officers scare me because some want bribes.
@RebeccaEkwuruke
@RebeccaEkwuruke Жыл бұрын
I don’t know if they took any bribe because I didn’t give any officer any money. But I wasn’t involved in a lot of the immigration process though until I got to Ghana where I had to fill a paper form. The driver was more involved in the process since he collected all our passports.

I plan to go to Ghana by road, the journey looked very stress free from your videos, but please didn’t they had AC in the bus? Your window was down
@RebeccaEkwuruke
@RebeccaEkwuruke Ай бұрын
The AC was switched on. I opened the window because I could perceive the smell of petrol. I complained to the driver but he didn’t do anything. Not to suffocate from the smell, I opened my window.

Great video😊, I learnt a lot. Please how were you able to book for an Air bnb from Nigeria? Or did someone help you from Ghana? Also what is it GIG you use for your trip. Thank you.

I booked the airbnb from Nigeria but we used the GTbank dollar card to pay on the Airbnb website because we couldn’t pay with the naira card. GIG is the short form for GOD is GOOD motors. It is one of the biggest logistics company in Nigeria.

Great video. I have never travelled to Accra by road, always by air. Your trip have given me courage to go by road. How much did the coach cost and do I need to pre-book or just turn up at Cele as early as possible? Where exactly in Cele and what is the name of the coach? Please what was the name of the Air B & B you stayed at in accra? Was it good? Thanks for this information. I appreciate. I have subscribed to your channel and looking forward to more videos.

Hi, I’m glad this video has inspired you. I paid 64k for the trip from Lagos to Accra. It is always better to pre-book the coach if not the chances of you going that same day is very slim. GIGM have coaches that leave twice everyday from Lagos to Accra. For the airbnb, I stayed here: www.airbnb.com/rooms/21360791?check_in=2023-06-01&check_out=2023-06-08&guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=c2139382-7deb-449d-9aec-452f0eb55710 The host was very nice, though the appartment itself wasn’t so nice. However, the location of the appartment was very good.

Please what is the full budget to Ghana, accommodation feeding.
@RebeccaEkwuruke
@RebeccaEkwuruke Жыл бұрын
We paid 63 USD for 3 nights in an Airbnb. We spent about 1000 cedis the whole time we were in Ghana (2 full days). This 1000 cedis includes cost of feeding, fees for tourist sites we visited, transportation within Accra, and souvenirs. Transportation (Nigeria to Ghana) cost 64k NGN per person to go, and 58k NGN per person to return (Ghana to Nigeria).

How many hours from Nigeria to Ghana and how much is the total cost. Thank you for this video I didn't think it was possible to travel to Ghana by road. So I can go ahead and get my passport.
@RebeccaEkwuruke
@RebeccaEkwuruke Жыл бұрын
Yes please. Go ahead and get your passport. You can also get the ECOWAS passport. There were some passengers in bus that used the ECOWAS passport. The trip cost 64k NGN per person. Though I reserved my bus 2 days before the trip. If I had reserved a week before, I would have been cheaper with as much as 10k. Thanks for watching !

Nigeria to Ghana is like Benin City to Abuja??
@RebeccaEkwuruke
@RebeccaEkwuruke Жыл бұрын
Probably. It might even be shorter to go from Lagos to Ghana than from Benin to Abuja. We could have arrived earlier if not because of all the stops we had at the different borders.

Okay thanks, the exchange rate is quite tricky oo you said 14.5 per 1000 but they gave you 65 cedis for 5000 that means 5000÷65 is 76 per cedis that means dollar is a bit cheaper in Nigeria than in Ghana next time go with dollar instead.

@@Realbuzztv. I never calculated it that way 😅. Dollar rate in the black market depends on how much you want to buy. If you buy a small amount, the rate is higher, and vice versa. Dollar is also not so easy to come by in Nigeria. Naira is just a good compromise. But thanks for the tip 😉.
