I've no personal idea, but the story is that Adox started with 25 master rolls of this film, made several years ago, and they project that this storage will produce enough film to regularly sell these 35mm rolls for the next three years. Adox is planning a successor film stock, but they do not expect to get that to market for at least four years. This does seem to be an impressive first plunge into color negative film for Adox. It will probably continue sales through very limited retailers in Europe with little or no distribution here in the US, since they can sell out the supply in their local market.

I saw some of your pictures on your instagram, the photos look pretty good. I had to get one as I saw two of my friends got it and I have to try it as well as I can't let them have all the fun! Very pricey here in Japan though at 18.50 Euro equivalent (only one per person please!). For this reason I will shoot it carefully, pick my shots well as I've never spent so much for a role of film. I will probably use my best SLR/lens combo rather than my daily driver Canon P. Thanks for the video...

Thanks John! What's your best combo that you're going to use for it? Any particular shots in mind already?

@@Shaka1277 Hey! Probably my Contax RTS III or Aria and Contax/Zeiss lenses. For the shots, I really want to get some nice colours greens, blues on some random things. Not sure but maybe old cars, motor scooters, (cliché?) things I suppose. I was impressed with the portrait of your friend so I will need to accost someone for some portraits to round out the test...:)

This is really weird, that this Adox film has perforation shape designed for a motion picture cameras rather then for a still photography (holes have more rounded shape). I want to believe that this isn't just some rebranded cine stock without remjet. :(

Someone from Adox explained this. Since they are so small, they are using leftover perf machines. So some rolls have the motion picture perf and others don't because it's whatever was free when working with the film. They also recycle the cartridges so people have found a bunch of different stickers under theirs.

Based on my results, there is no indication that this is motion picture film without of the anti halation layer. It's a great film. Best film I used in the last 2 years.

You should get a fully mechanical camera without a light meter and practice with it for fun. You will learn a lor about exposure. And after using it a lot you will make exposure just using your eyes, not needing a light meter at all. Cheers! :D

I have a couple and have done that for a few rolls of film to date. I wouldn't do it for something I planned to review in any capacity because I'd want to limit the potential that "bad" results would be directly my own fault, rather than the film's.

@@Shaka1277 I understand you got the Canon P by accident, but you can get excellent results with that camera also if you know how to meter properly. Cameras are just black boxes.
