My First Rolls Royce at 20

The Rolls Royce that you are driving is from the time when they made cars for gentlemen. The current range definitely isn't. I've been a Rolls Royce driver since 22 when my father gave me his Corniche convertible. Since 1982 I've owned, as the second owner, a 1965 Silver Cloud III. I don't think they are that expensive to run. Any good mechanics can fix them. The more you use them the cheaper they are to maintain. Seems to me that the problems and expense rise when they have depreciated enough to be very affordable but haven't been looked after properly. You have great taste. Very happy for you.

No Goodworth cars are RR they are BMW. Even have BMW stamped on the underside they have ruined to RR name.

Just discovered your channel! It is BEYOND cool you are into Rolls Royces. I could be your father, but when I was your age (here in the USA), all my cousins would try to demean me because I was into Euro cars instead of American iron. I told them once I was into automobiles and NOT cars! They never said anything else! I now have 9 Rolls Royces/4 Bentleys! Again, it absolutely turns me on that you, as a "kid", love these cars! This is terrific!!! My first came when I was 25, and was a Silver Spirit as well. A 1982, Georgian Silver, with grey hides piped black. Money pit! But I bought a second, a 2001 Arnage shortly there after. Unfortunately, many more after that as it's an obvious addiction.

Well done young sir I run a 1980 Silver Shadow, i saw my first Rolls Royce at the Great Yorkshire Show and it was a Silver Cloud 1 in 1956 that was it I was smitten. So well done at reaching your goal at 20 it took me 60 year's LOL HAPPY MOTORING (C).

Hi, they are fabulous cars. When I was 26 I had a 1976 silver shadow, and had a 1982 silver spirit,in bright 🌞 yellow. Insurance is very cheap, classic car insurance 👌

Hey man, I an tossing between a Shadow or Shadow II, or a Spirit II. What are your thoughts on the differences? I prefer the classic Shadow shape, but of course the improvements in the Spirit are a big consideration. Thanks mate!! Mark - Australia.

Hey man, hope you are well? There are a couple of differences. It depends on what you want, I would go for the silver spirit as it’s a more modern car and much nicer to drive. However, it’s quite big and the shadow II is easier to drive and use on a more daily basis, though the spirit I prefer. Yes it’s less classier than the shadow as you get more film star looks, the spirit is in a world of its own elegant and is more for posing and showing off which is why I prefer it and bought one mate 👍

Its a tough one. I watch all your vids man...love 'em ! Thoughts on Seraph? I'd have one of those as the shape is incredible, I just worry about parts for such a limited production run. Shadow and Spirit of course parts galore thru Flying Spares or Introcar. 👍👍

When I bought my Silver spirit I picked a friend up in it from college and everyone thought it was my dad’s car, that’s why I carried all the paperwork around with me to prove it was mine
