I´m studying optometry too, my clases are 1 midecal eyeglasses 2 refraction error 3 anatomy ( mainly anatomy of head and neck) 4 optic physic 5 microbiology 6 kurdology (it is a class that every student in every department have to take it) and all 5 classes have lab too. But anatomy is realy fun it is my favourite.

Would you say exams in optometry school are more information recall or principle application? Obviously it differs by class, but what are your thoughts about the content/nature of exams in opto school as compared to undergrad? Thanks, I really enjoy and appreciate ur vids

Haha it really differs by class to class. The first semester had a lot of information recall but the second semester is basically all principle application. Content/nature of exams in optometry schools is a lot more difficult than undergrad especially when you have 10 of them at the same time.

Hi! I'm a college student right now, but originally I wanted to go to med school. However, it's been in my mind to consider Optometry as well because med school is so expensive and just overall wayyyyy too much work. I mean I know both are challenging, but I've seen that Optometry is less(JUST A BIT LOL) hard than med school. Hey! It's great that you're interested in Optometry! This field is amazing. That being said, I think you should just enjoy your time in high school, keep up your grades, and try to get into a university! The foundational skills you learn in high school will set you up for success later on. You have plenty of time in your life to dedicate towards Optometry and getting there.
