My first snorkeling adventure at Shaka's Rock, KwaZulu Natal - Guided by Tidal Toa

I managed to secure a last minute booking with Tidal Toa to be taken out for a Discover Snorkeling experience at the Shaka's Rock tidal pool. The weather wasn't looking great and the booking was possibly available because people cancelled due to the weather - but I jumped at it because if you gonna get wet might as well dive right in and fully immerse yourself!
The little pool, on the surface seems like many other tidal pools, but getting to snorkel and see under the surface opened up a whole new world! The pool is teaming with sea life, including lots of coral, invertebrates like the octopus we saw and many fish species!

Great video very informative thank you for naming the species loved seeing the octo there. Quality of video was great did u use red filter? Next time wetsuit and gloves and flipper with socks. A great snorkel can last up to 2 or 3 hours and you can stay warm!!! Thank you for sharing will definitely make a trip out there.

Hi Cathy thanks for that! My first time shooting underwater with the GoPro Hero 7 - no filters and very minimal colour grading in post. Also I will be back so will definitely start looking into some better gear including a wetsuit perhaps. Although Michy at Tidal Toa did have flippers and a wetsuit I could have used as well.
