We grew a few sweet corn fields the last two years (each was less than an acre). One was on drip tape and one was overhead watered. We weeded between rows with stirrup hoes (planning wheel hoes this year) when weeds were small. We planted seeds about a foot apart and rows about 2 feet apart. We did a few plantings to spread out harvest and planted in blocks to get good pollination. It was a money maker! We used the same method of deer fence that you use on strawberries. Good luck with future crops. I hope you try sweet corn again! Also we’ve been enjoying and learning from your strawberry videos, thanks!

A soon as you harvest the corn use glyphosate. That will reduce the Rhizomes that will over winter.

Dre - there’s a great product called Revulin Q that you can spray over the top of sweet corn when it is 4 to 5 leaf and Johnson grass is that size or smaller and it will control the seedling and rhizome Johnson grass. It has a safener built into the formulation that gives good safety to the sweet corn. You still need to use a pre-emergence that gives early season annual grass and broadleaf control.

Hey bud, I missing uploads. I wish you would post a little more about your harvest. I know you got a lot going on with the business. What you’ve done with family entertainment is amazing. I would like to see more video since I can’t actually drive all that way to come out and experience all the fun.

Could you do a video about soil? Like how do you know what temperature the soil is at for planting? Or what you would do to change the soils ph? I know some of this covered in other videos already. I really appreciate how clear and transparent your videos are. Thank you for putting out such informative content

Johnson grass is a pain, if you till it then pieces of the roots or rhizome start growing and multiply. Maybe spray it to kill it completely the prep the soil🤷‍♂️. Thanks for sharing

Did I see corn earworm damage on the one ear you ate? If so, do you go through and clean it up?

Johnson grass grows from seed and the cane it's really hard to kill, and the racoons know when the corn is ready and they call their moms dad's cousin and anyone that will show up they can rob a sweet corn field in one night

Sucks that the late freezing temperatures ruined your peach crop. Hope next season it florishes with tons of peaches
