They absolutely just teased mouse support in the joycons. Gave em tails like mice w their lanyards even lol. Just think 2 player or more mouse games in the living room!! never been a thing ever! but makes perfect sense maybe.. That new top joycon attachment is wider than the joycon itself, creates a base, and it indents the shoulder buttons in a way that would make em harder to press, just no way thats for single controller use. Yea, thats a mouse attachment now! Im all for this! Reply

99% sure the dock won't be backwards compatible. The port configuration on the 2 is different.

As someoone in my late fifties, and kind of wanting to get a 7800plus atari, I'm being steered towards getting a nintendo and experiencing new games instead of trying to relive my childhood. ( and maybe nintendo will offer a retro atari multi game for this console )

I think they should target 1440p it’s a better middle ground, since it looks close to 4k but not nearly as demanding as 4k. Even the ps5 and sx are struggling with 4k

As a long time former Nintendo fan, I'm glad to see they finally got off that gimmick train and finally realized that if something isn't broke, PLEASE don't fix it. I didn't care for the OG Switch, so I have little to no interest in the 2.0 model, that being said, looks like a winner for the fan base and should do well with the masses.

Love my switch and unlike the first I will wait just a bit before picking this one up . I think this will be a very successful system and I look forward to playing it. I never played Zelda until breath of the wild . That game is still a favorite and what sparked my love for the switch.

NO, I don't care what the price will be for the S2 (Switch 2), I will be getting it. I paid $499 for a PS5 on day one and "NO LIE" I've only turned it on about 10 times in the past 5 years. It's sitting in my TV cabinet still on Firmware 2.03

The Switch was innovative and had no real competition when it first came out. That is not the case with the Switch 2. Many high powered handhelds are available these days. Nintendo is going to have to make it special if they want the Switch 2 to stand out. Otherwise, it might be another Wii U.

If the leaks weren't a thing I would have fallen in love immediately, but there is something so odd going on with everything about this situation and I think it could be an early April fools joke because the next Nintendo direct announcement is on April 2nd and I feel like Nintendo is trolling the actual leakers instead of us and making us think that is might be an legitimate thing But on Nintendo's website there is no information about the system on what specs it has or an actual release date just says 2025 that's all, they just threw out a trailer with no context at all and the Mario Kart game they showed looks exactly like the current Mario kart game, and the announcement video looked like it was done from a company that doesn't work with Nintendo at all Bug everything seems so odd to me and I'll be so surprised if this is the official final product plus the name, I mean 2? Nintendo is way more creative than this now.... Will see what happens on April 2nd tho If this switch is final and official I'm still buying it no matter what But come on Nintendo just let people leak this console out of nowhere and not saying a word is strange to me

I am super excited for the Switch 2. I have loved my current Switch...its the only modern console i need . i sold my ps4 and xbox series s . And ill be honest i hope they havnt done a 4k system. The Switch doesnt need to be 4k. If it is a solid 1080p at 60fps ....that would be so much better.

Its not a Switch Pro. Its a completely different system, with different specs, and Switch 2 games, that will not be able to be played on original switch. It WILL play old switch games, but the design is just very similar. Completely different system. Cant wait. Nintendo isnt perfect, but they rarely disappoint. They know what they are doing. ❤

I don't buy nintendo to play 3rd party games. I play those games on Playstation. most people buy Nintendo to play nintendo games and jrpgs from smaller japanese game devs

Switch 2 is a proper name, it pretty much is a bigger,more capable Switch. A bit conservative so far but of it aint broke,don't over fix it. The Switch 1 formula has been highly successful for them. More will be revealed in April as we get closer to launch wich would expect spring this year? Summer? Glad Nintendo finally let the cat out of the bag.

The way the Joycons attach looks like it's sturdier but I probably would still play mostly on my TV. I find the Joycon analog sticks to not be too great and it looks like they aren't improving them. They're too small. If they were the same ones used in the Pro Controller it would be better. Of course, that's if the drift issues are completely fixed. Being able to play original Switch games on the Switch 2 means I'm getting one for sure!

Loving the new system. To me, the gameplay is very important. As far as visual it has to be to be 1080p or higher undocked (I don't see the difference between 1080p and 4K, plus I think the graphics is already at its peak at 1080p) and at least 60 fps or higher. The original switch at best was 720p undocked. The question I have about this system is the storage, both internal and external.
