Hi, thanks for the video! Im going to the 2024 festival and just wondering was it super busy and chaotic the whole day or just in the crowds for the big artists? Thanks

Hi Michael! yes, the bigger stages / acts are usually packed, but there was always space to move around the edges. it's definitely a lot chiller earlier in the day during the lunch time acts (a lot of people still recovering from the night before too), then things start to ramp up around mid afternoon. It was consistently busy but there will always be pockets of space to sit and hang. I recommend a big meal before you go and trying to eat at "off hours" because the lines for the food and drink stalls were pretty crazy. and always buy merch as early as possible. so excited for you!!

Hi Michelle! Yes, what really helped me was looking at the overall schedule in the app and highlighting which acts I wanted to catch. There were 3 categories: 1 - non-negotiable (my all time favorite, “must see” acts) 2 - bands I loved / was familiar with but could be interchangeable 3 - new acts I had never heard of / seen but was curious about Category 1 was of course the priority, then from there I would block out the time for group 2, and if there was any space or free time then I could check out some of the ones in group 3.

Based on this system, if there are two bands you like that are performing at the same time then you’ll have to make a sacrifice and choose! It helps to map everything out so you can maximize the area you’ll be in and you you can account for bathroom and snack breaks and travel time between stages. It also helps when you plan to coordinate with some friends so you can send them your schedule ahead; or if they ask you where you plan to be at a certain time you can give them a straightforward answer.

As for getting a spot close to the stage, I suggest being there as early and already positioning yourself when the previous act is playing, so when they're done and the crowd leaves you can be one of the first to run up front or in the middle to claim your spot.
