I found this video inspirational and encouraging. I want to busk and im so nervous. Ive been learning the violin the last few years and my friends have been honest when i haven't sounded decent enough but say now i am. I havent been able to go into mainstream employment with autism and dyspraxia and lawful and unlawful discrimination. Ive worked so hard learning the fiddle and been having lessons so busking is a good way to avoid all the effort going to waste. I hope i can earn enough pennies to upgrade from the £150 violin im using atm. I dont get much with disability benefits so whatever i can get on top will be a bonus.

Aw bless you. Performing in a live situation is the best practice you can get. You will find you'll improve your skills so much quicker by doing it and your confidence will grow also. As I said to others, its scary but so worth it. Go for it!! Wishing you all the best and I'm so happy you liked the video 💗

I really enjoyed your video, and you definitely reminded me of my experience. In 2007 I decided to quit my job and do some busking. I had never done this before, but I was getting tired of Contruction work and need to find a different source of income. I had been playing flute a long time and felt comfortable with giving it a try. What was funny to me was the company I was working for called me to see if I was coming to work, and my rely way, "Sorry, I am currently self-employed". That was the greatest feeling I had at that time! Anyway, just recently moved to Las Vegas, and I am getting ready to start a fresh new adventure in this town. Wish me luck!

If I might say first you do your make up so awesome . You are an innocent and a good person. I can tell and these quality’s will help your music life I’m sure. You have all the signs of a true rocker . When you said you felt like a machine and wanted to quit your job. I have not busked yet and I’m in same position you were at that time I’m nervous as all hell. You can be an inspiration for many of us beginners. I like your doing your music and you have a super great supportive dad. Props to him. Good luck from the bean town in US. When you said you forgot to practice standing up was such a real moment. I never want to hear a busker playing Ed sheeran again lol stay original I liked where your music was going. Whit that said enjoy and you have a new fan

Curious, each time I busk I get a case of nervousness. I take a moment to feel them with fear that one day they will disappear. Have your nerves dissipated after the years you busk?
@the_groovy_life2 жыл бұрын
Hello ,absolutely. I used to be so terrified. I must have busked about 20 times before I stopped feeling nervous and now it doesn't even phase me. I'll play anywhere. The great thing about busking is to remember nobody is expecting anything from you, nobody has booked you to play to a standard, your just doing your thing. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Keep going you'll be able to control the nerves the more you do it x
@PickpocketsME2 жыл бұрын
@@the_groovy_life your awesome. I am at a point where I am booking my first paid gigs. I busk as much as possible for all the reasons you listed. I will be posting a video or two, and as I do, may I send you a link? Love to hear your pointers if you feel inclined to help a newb.

Woo! You go girl! Just embrace it. If you mess up then carry on people don't tend to notice anyway and if you are confident on the guitar use that to your advantage 😊 And remember you'll only get better from that moment onwards, everybody starts somewhere!
