I'm seeing a lot of comments by 13-16 year olds (or younger) saying how they lost it to someone over the age of 19+ with loads of likes etc... Statutory rape is not okay. It really isn't. I know that at that age you think you're the shit and you know everything about yourself and life and how everything is 'fine'. But it's not. People who are over the age of 19 are a lot more mature or at least are aware that they should not be having sex with a minor. If you are really truly in love with someone who is underage ( which I don't know why you are in the first place) at least have the decency to wait until they are overage. By then that person will either realize that the relationship was not alright or that person will want to continue the relationship (which would both be legal but also morally correct). I know it's a lot harder to see it as rape as its not 'forced' but when you actually realize that you're having sex with a child.. I repeat a CHILD it becomes pretty fucked up, regardless of how old they look or 'mature' they are etc.

Not everybody lives in the US. Not every country has the same laws as the US. How many times do I have to tell self centered Americans about this. The most common age of consent is 16 in most places, some even 14. I haven't seen anybody comment them being 13 or 14 and having sex with way older people. I've seen a lot of 16 or 15 years old talking about having sex with a 19 or 22 year old, and I assume where they are that it is legal or it wouldn't be happening and they wouldn't be talking about it on a public forum. Again, the US is it's own country, and not every other country on the planet has the same laws of statutory rape that we do. If it's legal in their country, let them do it. As long as there is consent, and it's legal where they are from, they can do whatever they please. A lot of the 13 or 14 year old's I've seen have done it with people their own age. Kids have sex. That's just a given. Teach them to be safe and careful about it, but don't expect them not to do it. Most parents would be fucking hypocrites for telling their children not to have sex. If you don't tell kids about it, they're going to find out about it some other way, and that some other way may not be the right information or right way of going about it.

Tbh, some people are quite mature for their age, and it's not always about 'wanting to lose it'. I can only speak from my experience of course, but at 14 I wasn't going around thinking 'I need to lose my virginity, I need to lose my virginity', I was more living my life, kissing, enjoying myself and taking it all day by day. Obviously, it's around that age that your hormones start to really kick in, and therefore you usually take part in sexual activities because you want to, and you want to relieve a 'tension' or 'desire' (to simply put "horny" in more demure terms) There is a difference in being in control and addressing your wants and needs. Now obviously not all 14 year olds are mature enough to define those, but some definitely are, and it's important to recognise that. Can't say I was 14, but 15 more so 😂
