This was released in January 1978 . Abba songs make you feel good , even the sad songs strangely uplift me for some reason , they had that sound . Great breakdown of the song and loving the after thoughts and bloopers etc . Thank you!!

The reason this feels so much better than modern music is not just because they’re singing for real without any pitch correction or super-detailed editing: It’s because every single note and hit was played by real musicians, all through the song. No drum machines, no rigid tempo grid into which everything is crammed until it is suffocated of all life. ABBA regularly used two drummers to bulk up and get a solid tempo, but it’s still human. It still lives and breathes, like life itself. And our musical brains know the difference - immediately. That’s why we quickly tire of modern music: The lack of life makes it repetitive: Every bar is identical to the previous.

ABBA has got so many great songs - not sure you’ve heard the early strong hit SOS or if you already have listened to the huge hits in Latinamerica - Chiquitita and Fernando! This is the song that started it all for me. It played all summer in 78. I've been hooked on Abba ever since then. I could never love a band more than Anba. They have been a huge part of my life. Everyone should take a chance on Abba.

This is my favorite ABBA song…at least for today, ALL their songs are some kind of masterpiece. I adore them! I work at a record shop and no matter what genre anyone listens to most of our customers get down with ABBA. It’s difficult to keep “ABBA GOLD” stocked, people snap it up like mad. All ages, all genres. Great music is magic. 💫💫💫💫
