Welcome to the Culture Club! 😉🤘🏻 I love this band so much and to be honest they don’t have one bad song, their entire discography is amazing. Fun fact, Niklas (vocals) is behind everything when it comes to the production, insanely talented guy. North Star Of Nija (live in the studio) is kind of a must by these guys. 🤙🏻

Swedish band with lot of influence from gojira, Metallica and the Swedish Gothenburg sound also, as said Nicklas does all the writing, mixing and editing of their songs, a true genius 😎 They don't have one bad song, all epic bangers 😎

Finally! I agree with previous posts, I haven't heard anything but awesome stuff from Orbit Culture. Saw them live in my hometown this past weekend and still have a smile on my face! I'm gonna suggest you check out "North star of Nija" (Live in studio), it's so worth it. Thank you for a great reaction, more please... 🤘

Talking about dissonant intervals-- I recently discovered my love for the lydian mode, specifically for the augmented 4th/tritone on the first chord (I love the blues scale for the same reason). It seems just adding a touch of dissonance really adds character to a scale. The IV chord in general, going back to the major scale, seems to be especially well suited for adding character, or even stepping out of the scale with the IV minor chord. Back on topic, tho-- Orbit Culture is a band that I've really grown to respect and adore. A supremely solid discography

Great reaction. I really enjoyed it and it stands apart from all the regular ones. I believe Orbit Culture is part of the future of metal music. Incredibly talented band with the ability to capture the listener. I'd be around for more reactions on Orbit Culture. Nensha, Saw or why not their latest single Vultures of North from upcoming album Descent.

I only discovered Orbit Culture maybe a month or so ago, and they quickly became a favorite. Subbed up, I'm here for it! 🤘😆🤘 They really should be a head banging emoji in existence by now, no?

As a fellow metalhead and someone with a penchant for the more proggy stuff, I'd like to suggest some bands and songs for you to check out! Hopefully some more obscure stuff you've not come across yet. DVNE - Si-XIV // Very Mastodon-y prog metal. Gorod - Aethra // A lovely, twisting prog journey that can at times go straight into those death metal blast beats. The Ocean - Firmament // You've likely heard these guys already but if you like Prog, you'll like the Ocean. Vulkan - This Visual Hex // Prog Rock/metal from Finland that's a great journey from start to finish. Alluvial - 40 Stories // Great contrast with soothing moments up to really brutal passages. Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name // May have already come across them but they made a giant splash with songs like this being so unique. Hippotraktor - Manifest the Mountain // From the guys that make up Psychonaut comes a new band, their debut album was fantastic, take a listen. Slugdge - Crop Killer // Awesome instrumental-focused proggy metal. Made a big splash with this new album, must check out.

@@JWSoundworks2 Yeah, only downside is that the guys are older now so they don't bring that same energy with headbanging and running around. I was at a Revocation show Yesterday and it's such a great time to see a slightly younger band that still has the energy to go nuts. That being said Meshuggah's light shows combined with the tight sound makes for a one of a kind experience, I saw them live last July (2022), what about you?
@JWSoundworks2
@JWSoundworks2 Жыл бұрын
@@KytexEdits yeah, I agree. It was more the light show and tight, HUGE wall of sound. I caught them live in January 2017.

The only criticism is some of their stuff sounds a bit too messy for me, the synth and effects seem to muddy the vocals a tiny bit too much for me that makes it difficult to pick things out, maybe if it was a little less compressed this wouldn't be an issue, but for my heavily ravaged ears its a tricky listen.

I’m new to your channel. Have you reacted to Bruce Hornsby? Arguably one of the best pianists in contemporary history. Try “Mandolin Rain” - masterpiece. Bruce has a fascinating history and 💯 identifiable piano style. People like Billy Joel have called him the best pianist they’ve met. And he’s an incredible song writer. Also used to tour with the Grateful Dead!

Hi Jennifer, I don't know that one but I used to regularly play "The Way It Is" in a wedding and cover band 10 or 15 years ago. The piano solo was fun to learn!

@@JWSoundworks2 Gah, I hope you weren’t playing “The Way It Is” at weddings. 🤣 That’s the song everyone knows from Bruce, with sample from TuPac. He’s amazing. Collab’s with Leon Russell, Don Henley, etc. You dig that if you love piano. Also try his live performance of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” with Bonnie Raitt. Holy moly - the piano just cries. But “mandolin Rain” is amazing in its use of the mandolin.

Exactly, nothing new, things have already been heard before. As you mentioned, a big influence of Swedish death metal. A bit At The Gates? (a little) + Children of Bodom ... but generally too much vocal and "new metal" lines ... Hi btw. Your stuff sonds like a Carcass golden age 🤣🤣
