Technology is a funny thing, you get all sorts of amazing concepts but then you have people who live on the streets or are unable to access healthcare. Some can't afford to heat their homes or even put food on the table. Why can't technology solve these basic needs first? Technology is good up to a certain point - when it's working. When the computers break or malfunction in self-driving cars, it's obviously not going to be so good. It's all about balance. Are societies happier and more content because of constant advancements in technology? Going off the evidence, it suggests not.

Self driving is still 5 to 10 years away, because out in the country where there is no lines on the road self driving does not work. The cameras rely on the lines on the road to stay in their lane. Also the insurance companies have to get on board with this.
