Thank you for a wonderful video that has bought back so many happy memories of times half a century ago, and of old friends, many now not with me anymore. I grew up in Llanberis (the village where the Snowdon mountain railway is based) and during the summer vacation from university worked as a guard on the Snowdon mountain railway. To see Dolbadarn castle again is wonderful as I spent so many hours playing there as child and as a teenager it was the destination of many a romantic walk through the woods. 'Diolch yn fawr', you made an old man remember so many happy memories. By the way, as a Welsh speaker I think that your pronunciation of the Welsh names and words is quite good.

1977, 4 of us rode up to the summit of Snowdon. Up the walkers track to half way house [as seen on the vid] then it got too extreme so got onto the railway line and rode to the summit up the track. For those of you are motorcycle interested ,it was a 1975 Suzuki TS250M. But dont tell the bizzies or they will be after us.

My Daughter walked to the top of Snowdon when she was just 15, .. in the winter its covered with snow.....all that mountain range was made by a glacier....you could walk up Pen y Fan mountain in Brecon .....much easier walk....there is also a 80 mile an hour Zip Line and White Water Rafting and a toboggan in the Snowdonia Area.....you should visit the Tower of London and the London Dungeon......great historic places.......the Crown Jewels are also there you wont believe how beautiful they are until you see them....so much gold.

Whent up twice if you go to the top you can see Ireland on a very clear day. I could see the sea the Irish sea at the top about ten miles away. There are 180 000 miles of dry stone walls in the uk amazing.

Very cool. It's great to see you two together again. There is so much love there. When ever it becomes possible again you need to go to Pike's Peak. Lovely little train takes you to the top where you can see hundreds of miles. The peak is just over 14,000 feet. The train runs on the same type of cog rail the Snowdon runs on. Hope you had the best time in Llanberis I (ash) used to live just down the road, we climbed Snowdon for charity (the NHS) back in September also the name of the castle is pronounced like Doll-Bad-Arn 😅

The phrase my daughter used for her trip to England (not the rest of the UK) was “another broken down Abby”, even if it was a castle because there were so many of the former. Your fear of the floor collapsing matched her fear of stairs (especially those one can see through) and falling. The haze you saw in the distance at the top of the train ride was due to the humidity in the air. Glad you showed us the defacing of property by carving is not a modern invention. However, your enthusiasm is wonderful to see.
