Ok here's what you need to know about Liliac. They live in Georgia now, their parents are from Romania. Their dad lived near Dracula's castle. The name Liliac means bat in Romanian. That's how they got the whole vampire idea, however they are kind of branching out from that. They are 100% Independent and have an EP, LP, and working on 2nd LP of Originals. They also have 3 USA Tours under their belt. They do both Originals and Covers but don't fall into the misconception that they are a cover band, they are a band that started doing Covers but then started doing Originals when they were ready.

they have since moved to Cummings, Ga....the "Fangs" reference is due to their parents being both born in Romania, with dad Florin being born in the Transylvania area, a couple of miles from the castle of Vlad Dracou (Vlad the Imapaler), the real life inspiration for Count Dracula in literature and film....."Liliac" is Romanian for vampire bat

I am an old rocker lady and I am so thrilled with them. Saw them in July and I haven't been the same. lol BTW, this is a faith-believers-in-Jesus family who play metal. And they are wonderful kids and their parents are amazing. They are indies too with their Dad aka Papa Liliac, is their manager, producer, engineer and Mama Liliac is their merch manager.

Hello, and thank you Paul for requesting one of the bands I support. Welcome to the World of Liliac! They are children of Romanian born parents that immigrated to the States as children and met each other in High School. While learning, they Busked at the Santa Monica pier for 5 years. Check out Crazy Train for Santa Monica pier footage. They were on the World's Best show. That's when I first heard them do Rainbow in the Dark by DIO. MeloDia found DIO at 15 and he is her main inspiration. Vinny Appice( Black Sabbath/DIO drummer) loves her and Liliac. Check our Vinny Appice Sabbath Knights show with MeloDia singing Country Girl with them. This is actually from their first EP Chain of Thorns. Which made it possible for their father to book their first tour in 2019. They have the Queen of Hearts album of 13 all originals. Check out Mars live from the tour, my favorite from QOH is Dear Father. If you're in the mood for a power ballad, check out Sail Away. I fell in love with Liliac about 18 months ago when one of their covers appeared in my Facebook stream and my respect for their amazing talent has grown with every new thing they release. If you want to have your mind blown by the incredible range of Liliac’s music, check out their ballad: Sail Away. To explore their roots, their cover of Crazy Train is a good choice to see the young band playing on the Santa Monica pier. A good choice to hear them live is in their concert video of Mars. Girl, you done gone the Liliac Rabbit Hole now, sista. The band has been under the Liliac name now since 2015 I believe. They went by their family name, The Cristeas before that and just did Pop music covers. But switched to Liliac when they decided to go the Rock/Metal route. The Greatest thing about this band is that their long time fans have watched them grow up. Justin, the keyboardist was only about 7 or 8 when he started playing with the band. But the funniest thing is now is that even though he's still 14, he's got the deepest voice of any of the boys. Ethan, the bass player at actually 16 now, is next. And Sam, the guitarist, who is the oldest,has kinda an effeminate voice to be honest. Not judging, it just is, ya know? But that said, they may have changed the whole Vamp Metal moniker as of this year. They all cut their hair, except for Abigail. And now they seem to b e going to more flashy early 2000's pop/alt-rock look. They used the Vamp Metal theme because their parents are from Romania/Transylvania and Liliac means Bat in Romanian, and they'd dress very Gothic Vampirey on stage with coat tails and that sort of thing. Go back and watch some of their earlier videos and you'll see what I mean. They do some awesome covers of classic Metal songs including some from Metallica, Megadeth, and Dio. Their "Master of Puppets" cover is better in some ways than the original, if you can believe it. But they really shine with their original songs as their song writing is fantastic. Melody always leads into the guitar solo with a high scream to match the guitar, and the solo itself is written in a way that blends flawlessly into the overall melody of the song. The transitions out of the solos are also very nice as you saw in this video. For one of the best Rock Power Ballads ever, check out their "Sail Away" song which was their last video before they moved out of Califirnia to Georgia in late 2020.
