Remember the concert in Detroit where NWA signed a contract that they wouldn't play this song? They did anyway because the crowd kept beggin for it. The police immediately shut them down, and NWA didn't even get paid for that concert. Damn, I was there. Yup, I'm old.

Ice Cube and Dr. Dre would be the most recognizable to Gen Z as they had continued to be relevant post NWA to this day. Eazy E died or he would likely still be doing things as well. Though 2 Pac and Biggie continue to be relevant, older folks more in tune with the underground hip hop scene (which this was at the time) would know eazy or kids that have seen the Straight Outta Compton movie. There is a part 2 called Sa Prize Part 2 of this song off the single that came out later prior to the release of their sophomore album.

I still have the original NWA 'straight outta comtpon', one of less the an dozen albums I kept (along with De La Soul '3 feet high & rising' & The Smiths 'The Worlds wont listen') Might upset a few but I always thought MC Ren had the best flow. Bizarrely, I was given an original 1975 Queen 'Bohemian Rhapsody' single as a Christmas Present in the early 80's (Uncle assumed it would be a cheap gift). Something told me to me not to throw it away. That along with the original NWA album are my most prised music possessions.
